I deleted it, I was gathering clips for a group effort, but have been side tracked lately so haven't worked on for awhile...

Superleo - Just checking in. Did your 3D disc ever get finished? I've read the entire post and did not see anything. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks!

The 3D docs is still in the works. Thanks to some members all the content has been gathered, and perhaps se new clips would be added. Unfortunately there has been some issues with some clips plus real life has has come in the middle. Don't have a delivery date... But it will get done (hopefully sooner than later)

In one of he Blu-Ray forums here is a thread about independently authored demo discs - it has a link to the Reelwood 3D demo disc that was made. I downloaded that and it's fairly impressive. I think I'll use it now for my Ultra D demos I give.

Unfortunately on my player it gets seen as a 2D disc - I have to queue up the m2ts files myself at which point they play back as 3D.

My nephew downloaded and burned the Reelwood 3D Demo disk for me and while it was interesting, the transitions were abrupt (there were none - no fades, nothing), and lots of artifacts in the rendering lead to blockiness and stalling in my Samsung Blue Ray Player. The lack of smooth transitions and stalling made it tough to watch at times.

However, it certainly displayed some fabulous 3D images, and especially with some animation sequences. There's a scene where a ladder gets flopped down, and seems like it's sticking out of the scene so close you can touch it. I also remember some great Spiderman scenes where he's web slinging through high-rise towers. Another memorable scene had Rose Petals being tossed into the air and floating towards you, again almost close enough to touch.

I did appreciate the effort. 2D Blue Ray authoring takes a long time (I've tried it). I imagine 3D is even more of a task.

Regards,

Jim

+1

This sounds awesome! Right now all I can play is freakin' Tangled for 3D demos. I can't watch it anymore but my 3 yr old daughter loves it each time.

I use Sammy's Adventure for a 3D demo disc, wouldn't mind having a real demo disc..

At this point, isn't this the same as an HD demonstration disk?

Not given up!!! Just real life got in the way.

I believe that the 3D demo disc would still be a desirable disc, specially since the clips are the top recommendations. There's been a few new 3D discs that should probably be added, but other than that I/we have all the clips needed.

I have not had the time, to work on the menus, but the clips are ready.

Hopefully sooner that later.

Count me IN. I've heard the 3D in one of the Aquarium BD's has one scene that people talk about.

Had a fire, lost most of my discs, all my EHDD's & PC... Lots of catching up to get to where I was.
