I finally got that elusive Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one blu-ray 3D movie this week from a New York Goodwill store on Ebay.

I wasn't expecting much since it was way cheap and listed as used, but it showed up in mint condition, complete with the 3D lenticular slipcover, blu-ray 3D, blu-ray 2D, DVD and a blu-ray special features disk, for $6.79, shipping included.

This same Goodwill store sells a lot of movies on Ebay, including 3D blu-rays.

My local Dollar Tree has a few copies of the Walking With Dinosaurs 3D/Blu combo pack.
Might be worth checking out for a dollar.

Same here. Just picked up 4 of those: Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar 3, and Megamind. They had most of the titles mentioned, but Shrek 2 instead of the others. Not something I would have randomly run into, that's for sure.

Thanks, my local had 10 different 3d movies, but the Immortals copies seemed to be all 2d.

I tried a second Big Lots to find Shrek 2 and was surprised that they only had a single copy of Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and nothing else.

Several of these are reported as Region B only. Do you have a region free player? If not, could you let is know which ones actually play on region A? My blu ray players are not 3d and I am hesitant to mod my Oppo, so I would have to buy a new player to get region B playback. Specifically want to know if How to Train Your Dragon 1/2 work, as those are still $20 over here.

Ah, I didn't notice the region of these blu-rays actually. I guess I assumed they were region free for some reason. I have an Oppo BDP 103 with the region free mod (the one where you plug it in the USB port or install directly to the circuit board) so I'm lucky, but I guess I should get it for my UDP 203 too now. I wouldn't worry about the mods, I haven't heard anything bad related to them as long as you remember not to update the firmware while it's installed.

I'll check when I get them (tomorrow, which is actually 2 business days after ordering) what region the cases indicate, as I would assume they are accurate. I'll check any that are ambiguous.

In Spain I just buyed a lot of 3D Blu-ray on Amazon, there was a massive drop of prices. Also on Game there is a 3x1 deal with several 3D titles (I also buyed). So next week I will have 8 new 3d titles on my collection (and I will buy another one -Ant Man and the Wasp- directly on the store)

Best Buy has several 3d titles in the holiday bins for local pickup only at $8 or $10...

8$: San Andreas, Edge of Tomorrow, Jupiter Ascending
$10: The Hobbit pt 1 standard, The Hobbit pt 2 standard, The Hobbit pt 3 standard, Man of Steel, Mad Max: Fury Road

If your local stores have them you can order online for pickup and they hold them for 5 days.

I went ahead and bought Beauty and the Beast 3D region free blu ray (2017) for $8.65 on Ebay. Of course, the next day, they dropped the price to $8.22. It will take a few weeks to get here since it is coming from England. This is actually less money than it would cost me to rent this same movie (in 3D).

There are a couple of stores on Ebay, mediamerchuk, which runs a site called
hawkeyeretail, and rarewaves, that both sell 3d blu rays from England at low prices. Some are region free and some are region B, and sometimes the region designation in the descriptions can be vague, particularly at rarewaves. I think rarewaves doesn't accept Paypal payments anymore, which is off-putting for me.

I've bought 3d blu rays from both stores before. So far, so good.

Some current 3D blu ray titles (new) from these stores, Ghostbusters and Goosebumps, $6.14 each. Monster's University, $6.69, Big Hero 6, $8.24 (I paid $9 for a used disk of this last year). Looks like they've got about 20 Disney 3D movies under $10.

A month or so ago I bought several of the Disney 3D from mediamerchuk and had no issues. FYI. I think they might be Australian originally based on the markings. Some are 3D disc only - no 2D disc but I think they specify that in the advert when it applies.

No issues here either. Purchased Beauty and the Beast 3D - both live action and animated versions - less than $10 each with free shipping. They have a limited selection of mainly Disney and Marvel movies but still a good deal if you're missing one of these films in your collection.

Wandered into Big Lots again and they had restocked many of the animated features and I also found amazing spiderman 2, which had been in my shopping cart for a long while but never purchased. They were having a 20% off sale so it actually rang up at $4.

Yes, the Beauty and the Beast (2017 live action) I just bought from them and watched is a one disc 3D only package, which is fine by me, but I don't think this was specified in the listing.

It worked fine in my Sony 3D player. Good 3D, by the way, with some popouts.

The closing credits of Beauty and the Beast are so cool I watched them all the way through with no expectation of a mid-credits scene.

I just checked out my local Big Lots because of this thread. I went there tonight to see if I'd have any luck. I picked up:

Mr Peabody & Sherman, and Immortals for $5 each.

(Also grabbed the 2D Blu-Ray of Fargo while I was there)

Thanks for the heads up!
