Just got mine today from Amazon US. Watched some on my PC monitor. Looks great in 3D. Hope to watch it later tonight in the cave...got it on preorder for less than $28. I always do preorder if I can. End up saving a lot in the end.

Update: Watched it last night. See my review in What have you watched lately threads. Definitely a keeper and one to see again.

I got a notice from Amazon that my copy, preordered, has been delayed. First time they failed delivery. I ordered the UHD version. If it's good I'll order the 3D next after I get back from my trip.

Well the 4K UHD did arrive last night and we watched it. Very good quality, great story. Enjoyed it. I'll get the 3D next month.

Just cancelled my order w/Rahul&I and ordered from Amazon - as the family was getting ultra-annoyed with my obsession with 3D to begin with plus steel book. They think I'm just crazy LOL!

I am getting irritated with their lack of communication. I have Antman & Wasp 3D preordered and according to the pre-order was to ship on 10/16. Nothing from them even after several messages sent.

From my past experience, this happens when there is a *legitimate* delay in their receipt of the discs but they're bad at communication for sure. I'd cancelled some order in the past and it took them a good 2 weeks to even react to it! On some orders, they shipped the 3D discs to me 2 weeks before the 2D US release, some on the date of the release (was sitting in my mail!), etc., sometimes 1 day after release date (faster than Amazon Prime); so, it's all over the map.

The quoted links are defective. They may be hand copied as they have the ellipsis in the actual link.

rahulandi.com/skyscraper-blu-ray-3d-blu-ray-two-disc-steelbook-edition-2018

I was able to previously contact Rahul about Solo: A Star Wars Story through ebay. It took him about six days to respond. He said the release date had been pushed back by Disney India.

For this movie, Amazon India shows October 31.

Consider the dates shown to be estimates only.

Just received this email

New message from: rahul-and-i-store (10,883YellowShooting Star)
This is a global response dealing with various issues.

If you pre-ordered Ant-Man and the Wasp or Incredibles 2, there has been hold put on the Indian release. As of right now, Disney India is going through a mid-year audit with its licensing company, which has put a hold on their releases. We have sent someone on our behalf to India to help with the situation.

If you have not received Skyscraper pre-order as of yet, that is most likely because the item hasn't released yet. The studios have the right to change the dates. I am only a seller and I am required to abide the rules that have been set for us by the Studios (Disney India, Warner Bros India, Universal India).

If you had a missing item that consisted one or more of these 3 titles, eBay has issues of showing partial shipments. Do not worry your order for them is till showing pending on our side. Once it is released, we will ship it out.

If you have received a damaged item, or the wrong item, please start a return replacement request with eBay. This way we can get the replacement process done alot faster.

Please allow all international orders 4 weeks of transit time, before contacting us of it being lost. As in most cases, the item is usually delivered in the 3rd or 4th week after it has been shipped.

All our items are Authentic Releases. All Steelbook cases are manufactured in the same place as all the other international releases. Some of the discs, depending on the Studio are manufactured in Germany while others are in India. But they are all licensed products of Warner Bros, Disney, 20th Century Fox, etc...

We are sorry for the late response, we have been having severe technical issues on our side, right now we are trying our level best to correct these issues and hoping to address all your inquires in a timely manner.

I figured it was a legit reason - he just needs to communicate better. I am fine waiting now that I know the reason.

Nothing about this 3D release really impressed me.
Movie was ok, 3D effects were not present if any that I can think of, and the audio was lackluster (Dolby TrueHD)

,

The film needs to be good first no point in having great 3D effects if the story is lame/poor.

Unfortunately the story was not that good in my opinion. I gave it 5/10, watchable but not re-watchable.
It was all just too predicable, the effects in 2D are good.

Interesting review. I found the movie on my 160" screen to be outstanding for 3D. The story is predictable, of course, but with enough popcorn, it's a hoot. And the audio was great. Just shows the differences in how we all perceive movies I guess...Frankly, I wouldn't spend a dime to watch it in 2D.

Just shows the differences in how we all perceive movies I guess...Frankly, I wouldn't spend a dime to watch it in 2D.
Watched the 3D version last nite w/family (13.5-ft wide ST100 screen w/Sony 5000ES PJ); agree the 3D was great. It's funny that our kids dismissed this movie even we before we started it, commenting "it's all green screen fakeness, yada yada..." but once we got it going, they agreed it was really tense, etc. - part of which was definitely owing to 3D; a 2D version couldn't have done as much justice.

Thumbs up

I thought the 3D was good enough (after reading the blu-ray.com review; after so many "meh" 3D reviews of recent movies that I then had no interest in ). On the peasant OLED.

Movie was OK/fun enough, and yes (re: tense) my hands were sweating a bit a couple times, heh. I was laughing so much after the turbine part, though not really in a bad way (maybe that's the hoot @3DBob means). He's like a freakin' amputee superhero!

Next up will be to view the 4K Dolby Vision disc, which sounds stunning for 2D...

Kong: Skull Island is still my top for replay-ability in 3D and 4K, though. But I still haven't gotten to Ready Player One and many others!

This one seems controversial, and I am going to have to throw some fuel on the fire. I did not enjoy the 3d on this one. It does look good, most of the time, but fails on the very scenes it is most important. I think it is probably due to the dark nature of the environment. It would have been infinitely more impressive if it was filmed in daylight. The scenes that should have induced vertigo had little visual impact for me. The idea of the height was more impressive than the view. I also found most of the fight scenes unwatchable just because they were too fast and too close for 3d.

This movie does demand a big screen to enjoy. The depth on my 160" screen was perfect for all the scenes looking down to the ground. Brightness wasn't a problem, but on some 3D TVs, it might be. Try to adjust your depth so that the furthest objects in the scene are 2.5 inches apart--left eye vs. right eye. This will give you the best depth overall. This can usually be done through your bluray player or on the TV or projector. Older Sony bluray players let you adjust the 3D separation. The current X700, X800 4K series do not, but you can still adjust it by going into settings and adjusting the screen size.

I have an Oppo 203 that lets me adjust by changing screen size. My 2.4 screen diagonal is 135 inches, and I have tried settings above and below that and I just think Skyscraper is poorly done and too dark to expect an impressive result. Disney 3d features are completely mesmerizing, on the other hand.
