Doesn't look like there is a 4K-less version but the price is decent with the combo.

I selected BB pickup. Last time I picked up a Blu ray 3D product in store was Blade Runner 2049 couple years ago.
Thanks for the notice. Switching to US source to get a valid digital code.

I've had good luck with using VPN with a UK server to redeem UK-only codes. I just redeemed about 15 codes and had another 3 that just wouldn't work (one was due to only using iTunes for redeeming which won't work unless you switch to a UK account which is not a good idea, and one code just did nothing -- not rejected or accepted, and one I could not get away from the geolocking to the U.S.). I signed up for Goose VPN which is decent and allows 30 days free trial. Thinking about keeping it on after that but can't really see any reason to except to redeem these digital codes.

Saw on eBay that Rahul and I is selling preorders for Alita with a release date of June 18, both the UHD version with 3D blu-ray included and a regular 3D + 2D blu-ray version. Meanwhile, Amazon UK has a July 22 release date for the UHD + 3D blu-ray.

if you email support they will get you a new digital code as long as you can show them a pic of the case, disc and the original code. Ive done it for every 3d movie ive bought from oversea through at least 3 of the companies and its never taken more than 24 hours for them to get back to me with a code. Also a few of the codes were for standard blurays but the codes i got were for 4k versions so thats a good thing

Recently watched the streaming version in 4K and Atmos on iTunes. The 3D potential I saw in various scenes made me go ahead and preorder this on Amazon.

I received mine today but only was able to watch the 2D version as we had guests over and didn’t have brought glasses. Great movie and looked like there would be a nice number of pop outs.

i would have watched another movie and waited to see the 3d first. I always go 3d first and wont watch a movie in another format first if i have access to the 3d version. glad you enjoyed the movie. i still dont have mine yet and havent seen the movie before so i cant wait to see what all the fuss is about

Alita showed up today in prefect condition and as i read on the interwebz was a very good movie. Watched 3d first and may watch the 4k version tomorrow to see how that looks. The movie is actually better than i anticipated with no slow parts and very entertaining. Great pickup for the collection especially being that i got the 3D/4K/bluray combo.

Nice! Mine is coming today (guess you got yours a day early since today is the release date) from Amazon. I have tons of 3D movies I've bought and never watched (and probably never will) but this one I think I actually will watch this weekend.

We watched it last night on the JVC, the 3D was excellent and definitely the best way imo to watch this movie. The UHD looks great but misses on the fun of the 3D, especially during the battle scenes.

ATMOS track is top notch as well with great LFE. The 3D only has the DTS-HD track. quick ATMOS extraction from the UHD and made a 3D BD +ATMOS track. both DTS-HD + ATMOS fit on the 50gb disc.

Nice! I'm glad I never got into steelbook collecting as it would have made an expensive collecting habit even more expensive.

Looking forward to CM, I think I'll watch that one too even though my enthusiasm for comic book movies is quite low (and this coming from a comic book geek from the 80s and 90s).

last i counted i have 10 steelbooks. i dont collect them but sometimes i will spend a lil more to have one or if the price is cheaper to get a steelbook over a regular case i will such as my king kong 4k steel i got from amazon uk for cheaper than what amazon us had. my bestbuy alita steelbook was a 5 buck upgrade so i went ahead and got it. i dont display them and really do think the extra money isnt worth it most of the time for that reason but i also think that if i was to sell some down the road i may have an easier time but i probably will die with every disc i own going to my kid

hoping that captain marvel comes soon, shipped on the 13th from amazon uk so im expecting it. id say the most money ive wasted (besides all of it lol) is collecting those marvel movies. i felt like you but the more i starting stock piling them the more i enjoyed them especially when i watched them in chronological order before i went and saw Endgame. the one thing i say i do to make my "collection" more valuable is to enjoy movies for what they are, i go into my theater (spare bedroom with tv and sound system) with a mind set that i want to be entertained and not be critical of movies if i can.

sorry i have gone way off topic here and will get back on the tracks.....

the 3d in alita i thought was pretty good and the sound was very good also. im getting ready to watch the 4k version i a while to see how that looks but im a 3d first kind of guy!

This is as good a story / entertainment as Avatar. 3D was excellent. I ran mine through 4K upconversion and was hard to see the difference between the UHD and the 3D upconversion to 4K. Audio was bigger on the true 4K version.

Somehow over the last 5 years I've ended up collecting every single Marvel 3D film over time, ended up watching all of them leading up to Endgame. The real shame is after all of that, Australia has decided -not- to release Endgame in 3D as far as I can tell which is a bit of a cop out given they had released everything else up to Infinity War (Captain Marvel hasn't been released in 3D either). It's been interesting seeing the progression of the 3D conversions over the years as each film generally was converted better than the previous ones.

It's been interesting seeing the progression of the 3D conversions over the years as each film generally was converted better than the previous ones.
are the region free 3d blurays from amazon uk not an option? i know if i didnt get most of mine there i would have less than 75% of what i own now.

The UK is where I'm getting any that haven't been released in 3D for Australia (so far, Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and a few others). We do get a few surprise releases like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Far From Home. My comment is more that Disney (after taking over Marvel) basically dropped the ball on 3D for the final 2 releases for Marvel Phase 3 - you'd figure if you've gone the distance to do like 15+ 3D releases you could spend a bit of effort to get the biggest film in history (Endgame) released in 3D as well to complete the set. I can't complain that hard; I know USA has it a lot worse which is surprising given they have a larger market, however I haven't looked at the sales data to see how they figure out the go/no-go for 3D Blu-Ray releases.

hoping that captain marvel comes soon, shipped on the 13th from amazon uk so im expecting it. id say the most money ive wasted (besides all of it lol) is collecting those marvel movies. i felt like you but the more i starting stock piling them the more i enjoyed them especially when i watched them in chronological order before i went and saw Endgame. the one thing i say i do to make my "collection" more valuable is to enjoy movies for what they are, i go into my theater (spare bedroom with tv and sound system) with a mind set that i want to be entertained and not be critical of movies if i can.

sorry i have gone way off topic here and will get back on the tracks.....

the 3d in alita i thought was pretty good and the sound was very good also. im getting ready to watch the 4k version i a while to see how that looks but im a 3d first kind of guy!
Yeah, I hope my kids like 3D also because I definitely won't be sellling my collection, even if all my 3D displays die and there are no new ones to buy (because you never know if it will make a return to hardware someday).

I may have to stop collecting Marvel 3D movies at some point as there are just way too many of them, with no signs of slowing down. And I'm really not that into them. As a kid I mostly collected Uncanny X-Men and Amazing Spider-Man so I would be interested in an X-Men reboot (but not into the endless crossovers that are inevitable) or a Spider-Man movie where he's an adult and not an annoying kid. Will definitely keep collecting all Star Wars films as I'm more interested in those and have watched all the 3D blu-rays more than once (even Last Jedi!).

Yup. We've had so few 3D releases in the U.S. it's quite sad. I'm amazed that Alita actually came out here, it's the first time in a long time.
