I'm looking forward to this one also.

This is Universal Studios, so very likely there will be a North American release, and region free everywhere. Their latest 3D movies were Pacific Rim Uprising, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and the distribution of Skyscraper. All of which have 3D Blu-rays available.

Maybe it's a sign of growing up in the 90's, but every time I see something about this movie, I think of the Mortal Kombat video games. It doesn't help that the chick wears a mask like the chick's in MK do.

Then I get a little excited and a little let down

That is not a 3d Version, now, anyway. Perhaps the UK region free version is gone now.

it looks like the 3D version. There are 2 options for bluray - 1 appears 2D the other 3D. I just ordered it and will remux the ATMOS track from the UHD when it arrives.

The UHD version was excellent, looking forward to seeing the 3D.

when I click either link I get redirected to the US site, showing me standard bluray. It's not viglink, so must be something on my domain.

A bit off topic but... I suspect you have already done this for Aquaman 3D? When I did it I found a 1 second difference between the UHD and 3D audio I had to delay. I used 1 second exact as that seemed correct but curious if you had that issue and what you used for a delay.

I will be picking this one up as well - probably - hard to double dip all the time but with so little 3D I am sure I will.

Hi, yes I had the same issue, I added 1000ms to the ATMOS track when I remuxed it and it's perfect!

wow what an amazing 3D movie vs the flat 2D UHD version. Same with Spiderverse, that movie was made for 3D!

Mortal Engines should be decent in 3D, I can't resist.. if a movie is released in 3D, I'm getting it..

it looks like the price changed after I ordered, maybe they had a limited number at that original price. it's still only a few more dollars and overall great price.

The movie was filmed with the 8K RED camera and has a 4K DI, the 3D version should look great with such a good source.

If ordering from amazon UK to the US you get a 16.66% (1/6) discount, which may account for a 20% markup being removed. It appears at checkout, before additional discounts. Dunno if it applies to orders to Canada. Has been applied on every order I have made. 15gbp x 5/6 = 12.5gbp.

Staying off topic with you, is there a difference in the UHD and regular bluray atmos track? have the blu and 3d on hand but not the UHD.

I suspect if there is Atmos on a regular bluray it is probably the same on the UHD. MediaInfo or a tool like that could tell if you have both. I have used both regular bluray and UHD discs for the Atmos tracks when the 3D does not have it. FYI.

Thank you very much. This would be a first time for me, so if you happen to be able to point to a definitive how-to, I would appreciate it. I will need to get new versions of tools as well as mine have not been touched in years.

If you scroll up and look at the post (any post) from zombie10K he has a link in his signature "3D bluray + Atmos" that I believe details one way to do it. There is also a link in the post below the one linked by his sig that has other options.

Value Added Tax (VAT) is hidden in the item price. When you checkout, amazon UK learns the destination is outside UK (Europe?) and removes the tax from the item price.

I just wish the story was as good as the transfer.

This is like Mad Max (which is a much better story) but instead of people in cars traveling around a ravished planet we have people in mobile cities traveling around destroying what's left of everything and anything.

Cinemablend thought it was pretty good with 32/35 for 3D presentation here. The previous discussion on AVSForum is here and Blu-Ray.com is here. I've watched the opening chase sequence on my 3D Blu-Ray and it pretty much confirms it's a good idea to pick a copy up if you like 3D at all (I've been busy so haven't had time to watch the rest of the film yet).

Thanks for you all who keep these reports of 3D versions available. Just ordered the 3D version from Amazon UK and the actual USD seems to be $21. Looking forward to this. I also ordered the 4KUHD version which should be here today. Nice to add to my Hobbit collection.

I'm prepared for all regions with an all regions 3D BR player but I understand this one is region free.

I watched the 4k version over the weekend and this looks made for 3d. My 3d copy dispatched yesterday from Amazon UK. The movie was better than I thought it would be so I can’t wait to check out the 3d version.

3D disc is sharp and clean. No crosstalk seen at all. Depth is very good...not the best, but very good. Sound quality is excellent on my humble 5.1 system. Deep bass, clear voices. Lot's of well done CGI effects. Story line...yea, a lot like a Mad Max movie. Definitely non stop action for the most part. Think I ordered to soon and over payed...$41. Oh well...sometimes it pays and sometimes...

I got my copy last Saturday. Surprised it arrived so fast from amazon.UK.

I agree it is a very good 3D disk worthy of a place on my shelf.

I have the UHD and the 3D now and prefer the 3D overall. Since I ended up with two Blu Ray 2D disks, I gave the second one to my daughter and family.
