I managed to watch this in 3D the other day - as with most animated films the focus of the 3D is set firmly on depth beyond the window experience with a few key parts using popouts (snowflakes in the opening sequence for example and other key plot points). Having said that there's a lot of low light sequences in the film (Elsa literally in the dark with only her powers providing blue/white lighting among others, it's dark a lot of the time) which means if you have a less than good projection it may be a struggle to see what's going on. Overall I'd say it's fairly standard 3D wise with nothing standing out that noticeably to me at during the screening or really attempting to push depth significantly. I'm looking forward to watching it again at home once the 3D Blu-Ray is out but probably not for the story (if you read the IMDB reviews they're fairly accurate in the critique).
