In one of the 2019 Samsung threads I read that a buyer was told that the white glove service is only for Tues & Thurs delivery days, so you may want to check on that.

BTW what are the steps to use ebates? Also let us know if you are auto credited the cashback or does one need to talk to a csr. Thxs

I received white glove on Monday. Samsung’s shipper, AGS, subcontracts the delivery out to local companies. Maybe the particular local company had restricted delivery days.

Also, I linked to Samsung’s website through eBates and was automatically credited within a couple of days of ordering. Also, you can get the credit regardless of payment method (pay in full or Samsung financing).

This was my first use of ebates. Create an account on ebates.com and then use their link to shop at Samsung. Not sure I had to connect that way but I did anyway. Having already been logged in to the employee discount store elsewhere I had access to the discounts. After I placed my order I went in chat in ebates to ask about the rebate. I received an email asking for order info and a little while later received the 6% into my ebates account.

I qualify for EPP but I've never used the program before.

Are the prices that are shown now in the EPP site likely to stay consistent for a while or is this more of an introductory sale for the Q90s?

The discounts are tempting but I wasn't sure how time-sensitive they tend to be. Any ideas based on past experiences?

Based on my limited experience with these programs (Sony, Samsung, Apple, Panasonic) these prices are pretty much good till the next MSRP price drop when they will be adjusted down.

It is not my experience that the prices go up.

This is not a "sale" this is an employee discount.

Obviously your mileage may vary and I'm not making you a guarantee only relaying my personal experience with these programs over the past 10+ years.

I contact Samsung customer service regarding the new 2019 tv's and how to purchase using the upgrade program. After adding the tv I wanted to my cart, I didn't see the option to purchase via upgrade. So here is their response:

"Hello Scott!

Thank you for contacting Samsung eCommerce support!

Firstly, we're sorry for the delay in response, as we're flooded with a huge volume of emails.

I see that you are unable to select an upgrade for the TV you are trying to purchase. I like to inform you that you can select an upgrade for the TVs. In order to do the upgrade for the TV, you need to select Samsung financing as the payment method to pace the order.

If you are still unable to find the upgrade option please clear cache and cookies by following the below steps:

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del
Check off Cookies and Cache
Click Clear Browsing Data or Delete
Close and reopen the browser
Place order again

Let us know if you've any other queries. We'll be glad to help. Have a nice day."

I’ve given up on it - it’s bugged. I spoke to a supervisor in e-commerce and everything. It’s pretty unreal how POOR their customer service is. This guy that replied to my email doesn’t even know how the upgrade system works...

I’m just curious, did this work? I’m trying to email customer service to make sure Samsung upgrade gets added to my purchase after the fact. One person I spoke with on the phone said it was automatic with Samsung Financing, someone from email said the 2019 models were not eligible (even know it says plainly on their website they are). Seems like no one knows what is going on for sure.

I’m this close to just looking elsewhere for a TV. Samsung shouldn’t put up the 75inch with access to buy then not allow purchase at all.

Samsung tvs are never all released at the same time. Other brands are the same way. I just don't think the 75" is ready to ship out yet. Haven't seen any owners of it yet anywhere. I know it's frustrating, but these rollouts take a few weeks or so.

Eh, it would run me around $3300 after taxes for the Q80R 75", going to hold out and wait until these new Vizio/Hisense models drop. I might just ride the bench for a year.

Wow - crazy that the EPP price jumps up by 75% going from the 65” to the 75”. That discount leaves something to be desired...

Exactly.

It's not like Best Buy or Amazon are going to give a 15-20% discount on a brand new model TV the day it comes out.

I don't think this is the right thread to post this in, but in looking through the terms and conditions of the samsung upgrade program, it seems that you don't actually relinquish the initial TV purchased on the program - or am I missing something?

From what I can tell on the terms and conditions:
1. Purchase initial device using samsung upgrade program - example QN75Q80R - $3299
2. Finance with samsung (36 months 0%)
3. Eligible to upgrade at 24 months as long as you purchase a new device >= $3299
4. Remaining 12 months term on initial device credited back to you ($1099.66)

Why wouldn't you want to purchase under the upgrade program? You don't actually have to upgrade if you don't want to from what I can tell.

They must have finally fixed the Samsung Upgrade option for their 2019 TVs (Q90, Q80, Q70, etc).

If you’re gonna finance it - then yes you may as well do the Upgrade Option. You have nothing to lose by opting into it.

That is correct. If you are Financing for 36 months, might as well choose Samsung upgrade and give yourself flexibility.

That makes no sense as you've interpreted it since it would mean you only pay 2/3 of the price for the 1st TV and get to keep it if you buy another one. Doubt Samsung is that stupid or generous.

That’s exactly how it works. But to get the “full” discount you’d have upgrade to a new eligible TV at exactly 24 months. They will only forgive the current balance that you owe.

IE if you make extra payments OR don’t upgrade until say 30 months, then your savings would be lower.

Thanks Benboy12. Do you know if the Q9FN was cheaper in EPP prior to the launch of the Q90R?

I ask because I have access to the EU EPP program. I can currently buy the 75 Q9FN at 3,350$. Wonder if it will go up when the Q90R becomes available in EU, or if I should buy now.

Can also buy the 85" Q900 2018 model for 8,690$, ½ the normal price
