the best price you'll find is ON Amazon. video and audio center and also Van's sell "open box never used" for extremely cheap and also don't charge tax. if you use an Amazon credit card you get an extra 5%back in rewards. I got an 82Q90 for basically $3900 out the door after my rewards.

Go to greentoe.com, you should be able to find a new 82 inch 90R from an authorized Samsung retailer with manufacturer warranty for $4100, maybe even lower if you are lucky

Looks to me that there is a good chance of getting a 75 Q90R on greentoe for about $3400 or less according to there "chance of success" meter. Have never dealt with greentoe so if anybody that has wishes to chime in or knows of a authorized dealer that is less that would be great..

BestBuy has 75Q90R for $3499. Depending on your bestbuy member status, you have 45 days to return it too!

I'm debating between $3499 for the 75Q90R from Best Buy, and $4999 for the LG 77 C9. Yes I see the LG 77 C9 for basically same price of $3699 at firstclasstvs too, but return policy and restocking fee isn't great.

I have a 4 year old 65" LG EF9500 which I love, except for some of the reflections of lights/windows in the room.

Get the Q90 or Q80 as they have excellent reflection handling and improved viewing angles. The oled has the better picture but not so much in a bright room. Personally I believe the Q80 a much better value than the 90 and I'm actually waiting for right price to buy a 65" for gaming. I seen the Q90 65" for $1699 and have seen the 80 as low as 1450...but not currently

65Q90 $1699 HERE

That price is only $100 more than the EPP pricing from Samsung

Didn’t Costco square trade stopped honoring warranty if you don’t buy from Costco? Also doesn’t it have to be a authorized supplier? ielectrica is not an authorized supplier as far as I know.

I really don't see the improvement in the Q90 over the Q80? Maybe the styling and a nicer remote, but for $400+ more??

75" Q80 now available from Electronics Express through Rakuten for $2144 link

Also, the Q90R has more effective local dimming thanks to the greater number of local dimming zones than the Q80R. Although our Q90R test unit was a larger variant, we expect this to be true for the same size variants of the Q80R. All of the other differences are mainly in the design. The Q90R has a One Connect box, supports a no-gap wall mount, and its stand has a smaller footprint.

They also reported the Q90R as getting over 30% brighter in highlights.

Ah yes, the venerable one connect box, I forgot about that. Actually there is a lot more difference than I though. I checked 3 different sites and consensus is 480 dimmable zones to 55 and 11000 contrast ration to 5500. I stand corrected, thats a pretty big difference, but I still submit the Q80 does an excellent job, especially for gaming. Both units will offer similar picture processing but with the brightness, contrast and zones you will definitely get better blacks as well as speculator highlights.

So I guess one can easily may a case for the extra $$, it is a better set, at least on paper.

I assumed you knew, but yea it's a large difference in zones and overall contrast.

But the Q80 actually has 96 zones, though it may be the 55 has less since the 55Q90 in Europe has less than the other sizes. Also in Europe, the Q80 is basically a Q70 and they have a Q85 which matches the USA Q80 in zone count. Rtings uses USA tvs but if you read a Q80 review on a European website it may throw USA readers for a loop.

Thanks for the info.

That is confusing, why would they use same model # for different set? I thought the Q80 had many more zones than 55. Also different sizes have different zone counts as as far as I know. According to this site, the 75" Q80 has "close to 400 zones".

rtings rates them overall 89-88 and actually had the Q80 a point better for movies. Hard to find exact zone count by size, they all seem kinda vague that I've seen.

Either way, they are both great sets. The 90 definitely looks better, better remote and one connect. Picture quality will likely be very close.

Samsung lists zone count in the service menu so all zones are easily confirmed.

I believe you miss-interpreted what Steve said. He says the difference between the 2 is "give or take 400 zones". Meaning the Q90 is 480 while the model below is 96 (confirmed).

Samsung since 2018 has been putting the same zone # in all sizes except their 55" models. In 2015 and 2016,theh increased the zones as sizes went up. This is a very frustrating decision on Samsungs part.

Samsung has also been using different model numbers for different countries for many years. For example the USA Ks9800 was called Ks9500 in Europe and so on.

I was able to stack a third party cash back site and Samsung EPP to get a low price on a Samsung. I don't know if those options are available to you. Otherwise I would have tried GreenToe.

I waited until the end of the 2019 model year (early March, 2020) to get a 75" 90 in southern California. $2795. NIB.

But, I have to say, I almost missed the last of the 2019 sets by waiting.
