Maybe it has vertical banding lol. I don't personally recommend buying opened box item.

They sold all the open box models they had, but they have plenty new ones for $1849

Normally I wouldn't buy open box myself, but these were claimed to be brand new never used with damage to the box. BuyDig is fairly reputable, but who really knows. They are still returnable fwiw.

Here's the Q70's they have now at $1397, notice it says box scuffed never used.

Why would a box be open without being used?

The Q70r price is only 2 dollars cheaper than most. Check Q70R price in Samsung website. Even though, there is risk of damage to the TV as the box is scratched.

By the way, the price of 1849$ for 65 Inch Q80R is updated in all other major sellers like Samsung, Amazon, Walmart, etc.

Believe it or not, more people probably return a TV for whatever random reason (too big, too small, changed their mind, decided on a different brand because of what their friend said, or don't like the way the colors look "in their house") than they do for super technical issues like DSE, etc. The percentage of the population that opens a TV and then analyzes the screen for uniformity and perfection is wayyyy lower than the rate of return on TV's lol.
