It has a much nicer remote and is more stylish. They both do a great job upscaling and motion handling...according to rtings the Sammy even better. As a matter of fact the Q80 beat the 900F in every category. https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/comp...&threshold=0.1
That said I would still recommend the Sony if you can get a good deal, just remember it's near 2 year old tech now and there are advancements all the time. 1000 or close for a 65" 900F would still be a great deal imho.
I was considering a 65" Q80 for gaming, but I may actually take a look at new Series 8 TCL. It's a great time for AV enthusiast, I can remember paying 3K for a 40" Panny tube TV in 1995...lol
I saw the rtings.com for comparision and Q80R is better set but marginally. There are couple of features where it's better....but X900F is no slouch either. I will keep an eye on this set for the price when i am ready to pull the trigger.
If it's $200-300 difference it's not bad to get Q80R.
