FS: DIYSG Fusion 8 MTM center channel 98.5 dB

Up for sale is this extremely capable, Fusion 8 MTM dual 8" woofer center channel with a horn loaded compression driver. This is one of the most capable center channels you can get for its size without stepping up to larger and or much more expensive offering from PSA or JTR.

$499

With a sensitivity of 98.5 dB and 8 ohms, this center channel will very easily achieve clean, clear, uncompressed reference level output even with a low powered AVR. Amazing slam, impact, and dynamics with extremely accurate frequency response. Even the $1500 Klipsch RC64-III comes nowhere close to the capability of this speaker as the Klipsch is only 93 dB sensitive. So this center channel speaker only needs 1/4th the power of the much more expensive Klipsch center channel.

A shot showing the cab. Looking closely you can see it is well braced. Built by a professional cabinet shop.

Here's the response at my listening position. This is a very neutral, accurate speaker:

The finish is a nice smooth satin black. I don't want to sell this speaker but it will no longer fit under my new, much larger display. . My loss is your gain.

Do you have the dimensions? I'm about to pull the trigger on a PSA MTM-210c, but I like to save money!

10" high, 12" deep, 27" wide. 38 lbs. Front ported so close to a wall or in a cubby works.

It should work well with whatever mains you have, largely a matter of preference and intended use, what fits in your space, etc. This speaker is neutral and accurate and plays very loud with very low distortion, so very high fidelity. I would pair it with speakers that have similar qualities and it should match up well. It might not pair as well with highly colored speakers like B&W.
