WTB: 5, 7 or 8 Channel Amp

*Purchased*

I bit the bullet and bought a new D-Sonic M3a-4000-7. Thanks to all who replied. @nonstopdoc1 Thanks for bringing the Nord to light. I will definitely look closer at them at a later date.

Interesting. What are you going to ask for it?

Edit: Oops, I didn't see your ad before I posted. What are the specs? I was thinking it was 300wpc but, I'm seeing 200wpc in a couple places I've looked.

Budget depends on quality but, somewhere in the $1500 - $2,500 range. Obviously not looking at Mcintosh but, I’m not interested in super low end either.

I am hesitant about posting a WTB ad here due to having to deal with scammers but, I’m hoping someone has one laying around that they haven’t got around to advertising. May have to suck it up and buy something new though. Thanks!

Edit: Looks like you can't edit a title. I originally wanted a three channel amp (with a new AVR) but, then realized my current AVR would do what I wanted with the Fronts and Zone 2 externally amped. I have two HT and could utilize an eight channel amp in another system and move my lesser channel (but more powerful) one from it.
a little over your budget, but i have a really nice Krell Chorus 5200 up for sale. its a $10K amp, i'm looking for $3500. pm if interested

for an 8 channel quality piece, I recommend a crestron 16 channel bridged. If your speakers are 8 ohms you would get 200 watts times 8! There is a little wiring work involved but there is no way to beat that amount of power and quality without a HUGE price increase. check craigslist or offerup. I got mine off of ebay..

I know it´s not a 300w per channel but I have a very good amp for sale, a 7 channel amp NAD M27 asking $2500 shipped that may be of interest

Thanks

Sorry for the delay all. I was having some in-wall speakers installed yesterday and it was all I could do to oversee that and get some work done.

I did see your ad. That's a very nice amp but, out of my budget for used.

I know a lot of people are happy with those. Maybe I just need to try one and see what I think.

I haven't forgotten yours. It's very tempting. I'll keep it in mind.

Truth is, for what used ones bring I might be better off buying new and at little to no risk. The Axiom ADA1250-8 is $3,168 delivered and is rated at 225wpc. I could easily run my heights and surrounds with it. I'm not in a hurry so I'll keep looking for a bit longer. Thanks!

Have you looked into custom amps based on Hypex modules like ones offered by Nord?

You can get a Hypex NCore NC252MP based Nord amp 8 x 200 wpc for approx $2000 shipped. They have measured very well on all objective tests.

The Nord 8 channel is very tempting. I'm just waiting for the dollar to gain some strength on the pound

My apologies but, I am no longer looking for a 3-channel amp. I cannot change the original title unfortunately. And on top of that, I already have back troubles LOL!
