I was looking at this power conditioner for my home theater, around 200 dollars (really the most I want to spend) has 12 outlets seems pretty good to me, thoughts ?

I think APC makes good equipment. Some will say power conditioning is all bull-poop, others will swear that changing just a power cable absolutely transforms the sound of their system. I'm guessing you need an outlet strip anyway, so I say "Try it!" as long as there is a generous return policy in case
- You can't really plug all your stuff in as you wanted
- You feel it makes no difference to your sound or picture.

My experience with a Monster unit that was on a good sale was my wife looked at the TV and said the picture looked clearer, so I kept it. My experience with an APC my brother bought me is that after having lost an iMac to local power fluctuations (not a storm that day) and had other gremlins, I had no more problems although the backup battery inside died after like 15 years (previously it would keep the AC alive for a bit, loudly beeping so you could come shut down your desktop properly).

Just don't think ANY of this stuff will protect you from lightning strikes. I've looked into that a lot, and beefy units may save you from distant problems, but nothing at all can protect a direct hit. UNPLUG in a storm, and DON'T FORGET THE CABLE/ETHERNET connections either!
