Both the supply and the postal services are very erratic these days. That particular order was placed on March 01 and was just delivered today.

I am re-assessing the situation regarding new orders.

FS: Ushio NSHA250JK Bulb for JVC PK-L2615U and PK-L2618U

I'm selling brand new Ushio NSHA250JK 265W bare bulbs. These can be installed in the JVC PL-L2615U/L2615UP lamp housing which is used in all recent JVC projectors (DLA-RS-400, RS-420, RS-440, RS-500, RS-520, RS-540, RS-600, RS-620, RS-640, X550, X750, X950 etc).

The same bulb is also used in the new native 4K models (DLA-RS2000, DLA-NX7 etc), in a completely different different housing. The bulb replacement procedure is essentially the same; see the last four pictures attached.

This is the 265W version of the Ushio lamp; older JVC projectors use 220W or 230W versions. Please note, however, that there are variations between lamps; I consider 15% variation to be within manufacturing tolerances.

EDIT 2020-04-24:
Mail services from Asia have been very erratic with the current situation so I'm temporarily suspending the drop ship option. Mail within North America is somewhat slower but still moving. I am bringing in the supply via courier services which results in a price change.

The cost is $110$125 USD plus $15 tracked shipping to US or Canada. Item will be shipped from Canada.

Alternatively the bulb can also be drop-shipped from the supplier, in which case the cost would be $110 USD including shipping, but will have to be pre-paid (3 weeks delivery time). This is the option I recommended for those outside North America, as the shipping cost would otherwise be uneconomical.

With either option just provide your email address and I’ll send you a PayPal invoice.

================================================== ================================================== ====

Installation instructions: It's relative easy to install the bulb into an existing housing. The only tools required are a Philips screwdriver and a pair of tweezers.

It's best to work with the lamp in the orientation shown in the picture once the 4 retaining screws are removed, as otherwise some parts may fall out.

To remove the old bulb:
- Remove screw 1 and the metal bracket that it holds.
- Remove the two screws 2 that hold the wires to the bulb terminals. Remember which wire goes where.
- Remove the four screws 3 (two shown in picture, two more at the back) that hold the brackets clamping the lamp to the housing. Lift up the four brackets, remembering the order. Lift up the bulb. There are more brackets underneath; do not remove those. Also note the small U-shaped spring in the upper right corner, which is intended to prevent the bulb from moving laterally.

To install the new bulb, reverse these steps. Make sure when inserting the brackets, the little alignment pin poke through the hole. Also make sure all brackets are resting flush against the plastic housing, before tightening the screws. If necessary, reseat the lamp so that the brackets rest flush. Make sure the screws are snug but do not over-tighten them.

Just to clarify what was said:

I have suspended drop-shipping (shipping directly from the supplier). I am continuing to ship from Canada if I can still bring in the bulbs via courier service (DHL).

For the price these are great, On high lamp I got about 750hrs before it started dimming a bit much for me. Honestly if I only got 500 hrs i'd still buy them. My room is blacked out so ymmv. For the price I bought 2 more, i almost bought 3 but i may be upgrading here shortly. Quick shipper as well. Thanks again Dominic

Sorry I cant answer that. The bulb the pj came with I canned at 1200hrs, the 2nd one from JVC I canned at 1000hrs. The 2nd one went earlier in part because of the price of these. Keep in mind my room is black velvet 8ft on all surfaces from screen and has zero ambient light.

At 750 hrs I consider it not usable for HDR, BD are ok. I do use high lamp majority of its life. The fact i can buy 4 of these to a JVC $500 bulb is enough for me. YMMV

For clarification - I have been bringing the bulbs via DHL (at extra cost) whenever I can, for those who need them more urgently. In post 70 I said "I will continue to ship from Canada if I can still bring in the bulbs" only because the situation may change.

Usorda took their sweet time letting these through. 20 days isn't too bad considering current state I suppose though. Probably sat there for 15 days

Thanks again Dominic

I just want to say I paid the extra to get one now, instead of risking waiting, and it was well worth it. Dominic was quick to respond, quick to ship, and it arrived far quicker than I expected. Now I have no worries of making it through the holiday weekend on my old bulb.

Replacing the bulb isn't hard at all, but some of the screws are finicky and in tight places.

Thanks for the feedback. The shipping time is at the “mercy” of Canada Post and USPS and can vary from shipment to shipment.

The JVC housing is actually well-designed for accessibility (even though JVC do not “intend” the bare bulbs to be replaced ). If you remove the electrical wire assembly, there’s an opening to put the screwdriver through for each of the four mounting screws.

Thanks I just put my new bulb I got from you in last night. Now my JVC DLA x750 R is back to oringinal. The Araca bulb I got from Amazon is junk. It is way dimmer.
Can you watch TV on it yes but HDR programs are not possible as intended. Many thanks for providing this service.
