If that was the case, the same uniformity issue would be apparent on many different combinations of screen and pj brightness regardless of screen material.

Related to that, did you happen to observe uniformity with the material just hanging?

If I ever have to replace my 140" HP 2.8 electric, I'm concerned about visibility of wrinkles.

I’ve been thinking about getting a new screen material to get brighter 3D. Basically a Dalite HP 2.8 substitute.

How difficult would it be to fit a Severtson screen material to my existing SeymourAV frame? I have a Premier Frame and it uses grommets with stretch “O” rings like bungee bands.

The Severtson spec sheet talks about grommet spacing options and Webbing being 2.5”, which looks similar to my screen.

Link to SeymourAV installation guide.

Interestingly the Severtson spec sheet mentions a 2.6 Gain material.

Any advice would be appreciated?

They should be able to make something. Aaron at Severtson does not want to sell consumers high gain screens. He does not understand that it is a market for them. Hopefully enough of us contact him to inform him about our needs.

Picked up my 123” 1.8 gain screen from them today. They installed snaps so would snap into my Stewart frame. All lined up perfect. Need more time with screen but so far looks good. Still need to adjust PJ.

What is the approximate price of a motorized 106” screen in the 2.2 gain material? I was at the web site and it looked like you had to register and I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to do that.

email them directly. Aaron, the owner, usually responds in a day or two and he will give you a quote. Just tell him what you are looking for.
