What screen options are out there?

I am looking to purchase a drop down tab tensioned 150" - 160" diag white screen preferably with a gain of 1.3. What are my options out there? I really don't want to spend Stewart money but will if I absolutely have to.

What about the 1.1 or 1.15 gain screens from some of the less expensive brands? Do they actually measure out to be that bright?

thank you

Lots of screens to browse on projectorscreen.com, with a good search filter.

Draper, Elite Screens, Elunevision, Visualapex on Aliexpress, XY Screen on Alibaba, all have 150" 1-1.3 gain tensioned motorized screens ranging from $1600 to $2200.

The 1 to 1.1 gain screens are typically fairly accurate. They'll probably have a .1 gain drop off towards the edges of the screen, unnoticeable. The 1.3 gain screens will have a larger dropoff. On that projectorscreen site they show the half gain graphs for alot of the materials. The draper matt white 1.0 and purewhite 1.3 are good references.

Stewart's Cima Neve 1.1 gain electric screen is not too expensive.

4k I guess since everything is headed that way. I don't want to buy something I would need to replace in a few years. How do 1080p and 4k screens differ?

AccuCal's Projection Screen Material Report shows that most 1.1-1.3 gain screens measured somewhat less actual gain than advertised:

Mainly it has to do with surface texture. I can PM you a link to an infographic that gets into some good detail, but I'm afraid to post the link to it here on AVS because it resides on a site that sells items. Just let me know if interested.
