Not all < 1.0 gains are artifact free. See Black Diamond 0.8.

If you wouldn't mind providing similar photos to the attached. You can see the distorted pixel by gain artifacts on the xy screen black crystal .8, the other photo is the dalite parallax .8 and seymouravs matinee black 1.4 shows the difference in an artifact free material.

Use a separate light not your phones flash and a pen or pencil. and a second photo with a white image from the projector to show pixel structure.

Sure. First few days it was great, but started to get a wrinkle in the bottom left. Its definitely better than my first one, but there still is a wrinkle.

The test of the ALR VIVIDSTORM technical screen that can be electrically deployed from the ground is now online. It is available in French and English. Enjoy your reading.

Does anyone own or seen the Grandview Dynamique fixed frame screen for UST projectors? I'm currently debating between the Elite Screens CLR and the Grandview from my UST screen. Gain is lower on the Grandview (0.4) vs the Elite (0.6). There is a great deal of the Elite right now but willing to pay a little more if the Grandview is better.

Talking VIVIDSTORM Screen

I would really like the Electric Pull down, however I dont want waves, and refuse to spend 2k dollars on a screen, I just dont feel thats needed.
hi, I have come across to buy one projection screen from VIVIDSTORM , one day I search VIVIDSTORM on amazon.com and then find their item, its price is indeed expensive, but after I receive the screen then I was shocked by its great beautiful pictures after projecting, so I think the price for it is very worthy, I attach one for your reference!

Hi Morph, do you have a picture of it? I have an incoming order from them, I just want to see if it's something that would be worried about (and cancel it).

what are people's thoughts on the motorized floor-rizing one? I'm curious if it works as well as the regular screen.

also, considering it's floor-rize, wouldn't it always be leaning on front or back at some angle, thus making it a nightmare for UST set up??

Anyone has had this mounted upside-down / inverted on the ceiling, so that, instead of it rising from the floor, it retracts from the ceiling?
Does it have the same oomph as that of the floor rising mode?

I am planning to ceiling-mount a UST projector & this screen, so wondering if this upside-down : upside-down combination would work or not..

Logically, there's no reason why it shouldn't work, especially when you don't have any ceiling lights near the pj-screen area...

(I have a very notorious kid roaming around in my house, and plan to watch this with the screen retracted, only when he is not around..

Not sure that a floor model could work in the ceiling.

An example:
https://www.avsforum.com/forum/23-sc...mount-alr.html

From this article:
https://www.soundandvision.com/conte...rfect-together

Those screens are specifically designed to divert any light from above away from the viewer — it doesn’t matter whether that light is coming from a ceiling-mounted projector or a light fixture. In theory, a screen using StarBright CLR material could be inverted for use with a ceiling mounted UST projector, but Rodgers said it’s unlikely that such a setup would align properly with the human eye to achieve “sweet-spot” performance.

Hi, Now that you have used the screen (assuming you did not return it!) how is it holding up in terms on wrinkles? I am looking for something silimar and I am worried about the screen curling after few months/weeks. How often do you pull it down and up in general?
