There is a thread about 15 posts down that covers this well.

Basically it absorbs more of the light, which in turn reduces the reflection on your walls, but it sacrifices true color from my little knowledge and research I have done. Best possible setup is and always will be true white screen in an all darkened room with no ambient light. Also there are plenty areas this is discussed although I know it can be hard to find on these forums sometimes. You may just need to dig around a bit.

This was talked about the other day also in this thread that was linked to your other thread you started on this topic. https://www.avsforum.com/forum/23-sc...ey-screen.html

A true ND gray screen is no different than a white screen except it attenuates some of the projected lumens. It will not alter colors.
