Blackest Retractable Tensioned Material?

I currently have a 92" XY Screen Black Crystal 0.8 and I'm having to cut the light output by 75% with a 2stop ND4 filter.

Wondering if there's an almost black low gain material available in a retractable tensioned format.

Also, if not, if anyone could suggest a black low gain paint mix, I guess 0.2-0.3 gain... I'm pretty sure I have some threads bookmarked for painting retractable screens, and I have a cheap $50 motorized screen in storage I could test on.

Would prefer minimal gain artifacts and a flat textureless material, but would still like to know about the blacker materials available.

Super low gain retractable tensioned screen material is a rare animal. Draper's 0.6 gain OptiFlex Grey XH600V is about the lowest gain commonly available screen material I'm aware of that's marketed for tab tension retractable screens. Stewart Filmscreen occasionally makes a run of special 0.4 gain matte grey screen material but not sure if it's suitable for a retractable tensioned screen. Most who want super low gain screens end up using paint.

@bdht , those screen materials seem to both be marketed primarily as rear projection screens with front projection optional. I haven't seen much written about these dual purpose type screens so not sure how well they perform in front projection applications as opposed to dedicated front projection screen material. At the very least, their translucency that allows rear projection suggests they would need some type of backing for front projection applications.

Ya, who knows if you could even get them outside of commercial use.

I requested samples and info on the poliview, gerreits sending the optiblack but havent heard from mdi. The blackview has much higher gain for rear projection so would definitely need to catch the light behind it with some black fabric, the optiblack is only .25 gain for rear projection though. Curious how an image looks on them, I had only seen the optiblack mentioned once on avs and never the blackview.

Aside from retractable, aware of any similar fixed frame screens?
