Need to buy a PJ screen, grey or white?

I need a 92'' projector screen, HW40Es will be 2.8 throw distance.
I have a room with white walls and white ceiling. I have a blackout curtain on the left side of the room.
Light can be completely controlled during viewing if needed.

I'm not sure which screen to go for?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/92-Premiu...y/192656408433

Would this be okay or should I go for a grey screen? any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

I would go for an ambient light rejecting screen. Those white walls and ceiling will reflect a good amount of light back onto your screen, washing out the image to some degree. You could consider a painted screen as found here.
@MississippiMan would be happy to work with you on a great painted ALR screen.

Thanks. I'm based in the UK and will need a screen which will be ceiling mounted so I'm a bit stuck in regards to budget & experience. I can't afford to currently buy a tab tensioned pulldown screen AND buy some expensive paints with the risk of me wasting the paint and ruining the screen I'd LOVE to explore this option at some point for sure.

If there was someone in the UK willing to do this for me, I'd happily pay them.

I feel like I'm really stuck here

The paint goes right on the wall you don't paint the actual screen you paint your entire wall I would at least send a private message to Mississippi Man to ask him what he thinks

Yup, I understand. Sadly thats not an option as I have a 65'' TV wall mounted which will later on be a 77 inch OLED so ideally it'd have to be a spray-painted screen which can retract into the ceiling.

Thanks. Sorry I wasn't clear before. Ideally in 6-12 months time [hopefully moving house], I'll have a dedicated home theatre room and a separate room for the TV, (if I'm convinced by the ALR properties that it doesn't need a TV for backup)

Also, if I was to just buy a temporary screen and explore the ALR/DIY solutions at a later date.. any suggestions? Is tab tensioned really needed?

With that small of a screen I would definitely go with a gray screen at least .8 gain. As far as tab tensioned it is the only way to be sure (but not guarantied as some have ripples anyway) the screen is flat. Ripples in the screen cause a distortion that some notice more then others and is most obvious with slow pans across the screen.

Of course it will effect it but in a white room you need to take what you can get. It's all a compromise.
