In the US. But in the UK it was a version 3 lamp from day 1.

Reset Help

Does anyone know the "reset" procedure? The Warning light is lit. The Lamp light is flashing. The JVC tech support guy said push the ON/STANDBY button to discharge any stored electricity (?) with the unit disconnected from HDMI and unplugged from the wall for a few minutes. I have tried that several times with no luck. Thanks for any help.

I've been thinking about getting back into the projector game...my only previous was a Panasonic PT-AE300U from back in the day which I gave to a friend. I don't have a lot to spend but come across one of these 2nd hand for quite cheap. I still haven't got into 4k yet, do you think this is worth buying these days?

I just sold my RS65 for $1,000 a few months back. I loved it since 2012. Its a great picture but its not 4k and obviously can't display any 4K sources. So I took the grand and invested in a lightly used dealer demo (2018 upgraded version) RS640 for $3,900, and it rocks!. Although not a native 4k projector, it can display all 4k sources and looks amazing. I think there are some opinions out there that the RS640 throws a better picture in some respects to the comparable new JVC native 4K NX7/RS2000 or even the NX9/RS3000 which is $18,000 . Although the lens on the RS3000 should blow it away. I'm waiting for gen2 and then I'll upgrade in 2-3 years at a ~50 percent discount.

Hmm..I think I'll keep looking into options. I've seen a used one for a bit over $1,000 and I know I wouldn't be disappointed but I also can see myself wanting to have 4K options down the track and using it for PS4...apparently latency wasn't so great on these. Decisions!
