I've had the HW50 setup since Monday night. I'm coming from a JVC RS1 that really served me well. I'm experiencing
motion stutter almost all the time. It seems worse on movies but is definitely there on all sources. I don't know how to explain it other than it looks like missing frames. The picture will look fine then all of a sudden it starts to skip, it normally lasts for only a brief moment. It seems worse when the camera is panning. I've played around with all the menu settings and just can't figure out if I'm missing something or maybe this is a defective unit. On another note the picture looks great with video sources, but I must admit that movies sure have a digital look to them. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks, Eddie

What source are you using? Check the information panel on the projector (last item in the menu)... is it 60p or 60i? If so, go to 'Expert Settings' on the first menu item, then go to 'Film Mode'. I found that when that is set to Auto 1 or Auto 2 on 60p/i Planet Earth Blu-Ray, it stutters horribly & inconsistently (like skipping ahead and slowing down every now and then). I just turned 'Film Mode' to OFF and then everything was fine.

If you're talking about 24p motion judder, that's a whole different story...

DirecTV as the source. Turning Film Mode off has fixed it. I thought I had tried turning if off. Thanks for the quick reply.
