great. I think you have seen W1070 before. Would like to know if it worths the upgrade

if you need flexible projector placement, I would be looking at the BQ W7500. The recent review on a greek site showed some nice potential over the current W7000. Faster color wheel speed and better contrast.

i'm trying to see if I can get one of these to check out soon since I had the W7000 for quite a while.

ahmadka - If you weren't set on a 2 projector setup, the Epson 5030 is a great balance between 2D and 3D performance. Maybe you should considering trying it. If it doesn't meet your expectations, you can flip it for a relatively minimal loss vs. the expense of diving directly into a 2 projector setup.

If you want to do the 2 projector setup right, you may consider avoiding the low cost 3D's without lens shift and with likely rainbow effect. Even the more expensive W7000 has it but should be better with the upcoming W7500. My Sharp XV-Z30000 is the first 3 DLP I've had that is excellent in controlling RBE. it's shame that it's discontinued, but still available new for $2699. I prefer it over the W7000 because it uses RF and the perceived contrast in 3D is better than the W7000. We'll have to see how it competes with the W7500.

You mean my first 3D DLP that is excellent in controlling RBE. 3 DLP would infer 3 chip DLP which it as you know isn't. Time to edit. smile.gif

You can get very close. The trick is to to place your screen up tight to the ceiling and then use the Mits HC8000's vertical manual adjustment to fit the image into the screen. The easiest way to do this is to floor mount the projector on a table just in front of your audience and at their chest level when sitting. You may have to use a lower table depending on the size of your screen. If you're accustomed to relatively bright 3D -- in other words you have seen 3D with an Epson or the Sharp then you will be a little disappointed with the Mit's brightness unless you are prepared to use it with a smaller HP screen.

I have no interest whatsoever in watching 3D on anything but a high gain screen -- preferably a HP.

Check out the DLP projectors in this list.

I think for right now the best under $3,000 3D projector is the Sharp 30000 (if you can find one).

The placement sucks, but the PQ is really good in 2D and 3D for its price
