Actually I was thinking 8-bits/color subsampled (4:2:0), which comes out to 12 total bits per pixel IIRC. Of course we're getting 10 bits/pixel, which would be 20 bits I think with 4:2:0 subsampling.

But if we are talking about truly uncompressed video then that would mean using 4:4:4 or RGB since 4:2:0 is a form of compression.

I just got a LG 60UH8500 and I downloaded both the 1080 and 4K versions of Tear of Steel so I could see the difference. I downloaded both of the *.mov files to a USB drive and played them on my TV with that USB drive. Even though there was a difference in the two versions, it was barely noticeable. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to burn those files to a blu-ray to get the full effect?

Sorry, I just realized this probably wasn't the correct thread to post this in. I just did a forum search on Tears of Steel and it brought me here. Admin can delete this post if they want.

Probably because the TV upscales the 1080p content to 4K?

Does anyone know where I might be able to get the IMAX Dolby ATMOS demo currently playing in Dolby Vision Cinemas? Well it was playing in Hilversum two weeks ago.

It looks like this one:
http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=56
but longer and with more atmos ness.

It's the best ATMOS demo I've heard, panning effects and voices much like in the Gravity ATMOS mix and I'd like to know how my home setup compares.

Haven't heard that demo yet, but do you have the August 2014 Dolby Atmos Demonstration Disc? There are more than a few tracks on there that will really show off your system.
