You can be a 4K studio mogul for 1/2 cent per share!

So, I decided to look up Nanotech (owner of Ultraflix - the 4K movie provider with a 900 title deal with Paramount) and low and behold - they have a total market capitalization of - wait for it - 3.5 million dollars.

You can buy their stock over the counter for just over one half cent per share. And supposedly they earned $2M profit on $11M revenue last year.

So, I say we at AVSforum initiate a hostile takeover, or at least become activist investors and buy 10% of this dinky little company - then make sure they stream 4K movies at true UHD Blu-ray quality bitrate, as their press release from last July claims.

Just imagine - we'll get a seat on the board. Then we'll put Seegs in it to complain to the C-suite team once per quarter about posterization in the source signal!

CEO is Peter Riordan. Anybody got his cell number? Tell him we wanna make an offer he can't refuse.

Newsflash: Peter is no longer CEO. Strangely, the stockholders are not happy that their company trades at one half cent per share. And there is a letter to them on December 17 acknowledging this fact.

Turns out they are looking for a new CEO. Who's up for the job?

"As many shareholders have recently communicated, the board is equally disappointed with the current price per share and market valuation especially during this unprecedented time of growth for the company. We are confident in the future of the company and the success that will return shareholder value.

Effective immediately, the board is announcing the departure of Peter Riordan as CEO. Chairman Jeff Foley will act as interim-CEO and lead the efforts, to affect several changes in operations including a search for a new CEO."

Apparently if you want to throw your hat in the ring for leading this cutting edge firm - contact Jeff.
