That doesn't make sense, unless the Sony too has horrendous lag. Were you using game mode on the Sony?

There is no game mode on the Sony with 4K input,or is there. In any case the LS feels just as responsive if not better, it does feel better. It was a big surprise but am very happy about it.

This seems very odd, I wonder if the Sony's are terrible too...

Projector Central found the following for the LS10000:
Fast: 56ms
Fine (no 4K/enhancements): 100ms
Fine (+"goodies"): 230ms

They found the VW600 to be 120ms

That's right in line with the 125ms I've measured on my RS600, which I find unacceptable for most games.

The Sony 4K units are much faster with a 4K input (no image scaling). It's definitely faster than 120ms. I'd imagine that the 600ES was measured with a 1080p input. The newer 4K models also have a gaming mode (only available with 1080p input signals), but this does remove a fine layer of image processing like the Epson.

That just further compounds the confusion of the LS10000 feeling more responsive, especially with a 4K input. Unless one of the firmware updates improved the lag, but I'd like to see some data (measurements) on that.

Right now the only real way to measure a unit with a 4K input is the CRT method. I emailed Leo Bodnar support at the beginning of November and was told "there is a 4k version in the prototype stage, but it is a very complex and difficult product design. It is a long way off being ready unfortunately."

I can't find anything yet that gives what the input lag is on this unit...
