Best projector in 3-5k range. JVC X550R or ??

Is there anything better then the JVC X550R in that price range now or in the next 6 months. I watch 70/30 movies/sports. Isn't there suppose to be some 2K chip coming out from TI that acts like 4K with doubling like the JVC does with it's X550R. I've seen the 550R for around 3,500 which seems to be a great price. I'll call AVS Monday. Who knows projectors well at AVS? I bought a Denon 7200WA 4 months ago and they gave me a great price.

Thanks,

Ken

There is, but it will come with all the DLP drawbacks, namely far out of date contrast performance. It sounds like there's new JVC models to be announced at CES in January. Rumors have them as having improved HDR functionality, it may be worth waiting to see what comes of those.
