Optoma UST Ultra Short-Throw 4K HDR Projector at CES 2017

The Optoma UST ultra short-throw 4K HDR projector is quite a bit more expensive than another UST projector introduced at CES this year.

Thanks Scott! I think this is a great example of what's to come and a fantastic future for PJs. I also think that as UST PJs get better, we'll see some very interesting rooms and applications in the future too.

Looks like the Coretronic U50K OEM:

4000 lumens, HDMI 2.0, Android TV OS.

Makes sense as Coretronic is Optoma's parent company. Delta does the same thing with Vivitek. The two are essentially their consumer "front" companies to sell directly to consumers.

And business customers/consumers aswell. Selling mostly business type projectors. And this was the first time Coretronic was gonna sell them itself using the Coretronic brand it announced a year ago. Then come Infocomm time Optoma said it would market these aswell. At ISE it was still just Coretronic. And Viewsonic.

BTW it is not OEM, but ODM, as it is designed by Coretronic.

Nevermind, I know now, and it was disappointing.

Doesn't bode well for the 4K version.

The light reflecting off the case from the lens destroys any chance of this making HDR capable contrast ratios....
