The 0.66 DLP chip and superior lens plays a big part in picture quality here.
Like you this projector should serve quite well for next 3-4 years until native 4k projectors get down to a reasonable price range. My only concern is how bright the lamp will be in 1000-1500 hrs range.

I wish there is more information how to calibrate better especially for HDR. I see in user HDR mode you can adjust a lot of settings but without measurement tools it is shooting in the dark.

Regardless I am suing the Movie mode and calibration numbers posted by Aztar35 and they are quite good.

As for HDR settings, this has been a very big difficulty for virtually all projector owners.
What has helped a lot, is the use of players with the ability to map tones, such as Oppo 203, Panasonic UB 820/420, etc., or the use of MADVR program on computer/Desktop.
In the HK2288 section there are several users who use HDR mapping in Vivitek, and have felt a big improvement. I asked a lot of questions, but no one answers me in that section.
I believe that in the next few days my UB420 should arrive, and I will do several tests and I will put my impressions here in the forum for everyone.
I'm even going to run some tests on a silver matte adhesive material for car wrap.
Wait for me hehehe
Hug and good week.
