Any recommendations for a screen that works well in a room that has light bleeding in from an adjacent room on one side? The light comes in from the side of the screen slightly in front. No reflected light off the screen to the viewer. Just a lot of ambient light.

Is there a way to increase the contrast of a single chip DLP projector by modifying the light path to reduce unwanted reflections and stray light?

I've seen a Screen Innovation Black Diamond. The light rejection is excellent. However I don't think it's an inexpensive solution.

I fixed a similar issue with a blackout curtain from Amazon. Might be something to consider if a screen is out of your price range.

I'm not sure if this is something Joel knows much about, but I tried to explain how 2 irises with a DLP can help on/off CR in post #1590 here:

Thanks Darinp.

That was a very informative post. What material do you recommend for making an iris? I would like to try and place one with a cat's eye shape between the light integrator rod and mirror. Will that be advisable? I have a RGB 3 led light source.
