Not 20%... 25%

Anybody ever wonder where these units are being assembled? Does the prefix "MY" mean Malaysia? I hope not!

Where would you prefer? It's a long time since they've been made in Japan. If I recall my 7900 is made in Thailand.

From where I come from it's really difficult to tell what's happening at times, the news is so sensationalized to get people to watch, accuracy doesn't seem to matter anymore, what's important are ratings and to get people to watch the sponsors.
That's why I posted this as well, to get some accurate feed back on this situation.

One more thumbs up to NX7 ... but you need a good screen to really see what it can do!
Im using Cinewhite currently and waiting on my NX7. Are you saying I should definitely upgrade my screen? My seats are 13 and 17ft from 135in screen.

Are you seeing sparkles now? I had a Cinewhite 100" that I sat 10ft from and I could notice sparkles in any bright content, especially whites and solid colors. I upgraded to Studiotek 100 and its a pretty noticeable difference. Just taking a sample and putting it up on a bright spot on the screen was pretty noticeable, but my brightness was really high , I am not that far from the screen, and my room is velvet treated. If anything you can always order samples for free and take a look.

Well my JVC RS2000/NX7/N7 comes in VIOLET/PURPLE with a lovely undefeatable RED PUSH above black!

That looks alot like my NX7 problem except that I don't have the red above the violet/purple (and mine is maybe more on the blue side).

Seems like a problem that is occurring during the shipping process. All the units are supposedly going through QC before being shipped to end users...this should be a pretty obvious defect to pick up. Looks like these new models are not durable enough to shipped through the normal package delivery services, or the packaging is not adequate.

Im new/novice to this hobby, im currently using a benq 2050 (my first and only projector) in a dedicated dark theater room. So far ive been happy with whatever i watch. I dont generally go look for imperfections, may be ill start looking once my nx7 comes in. Thanks for the advice on getting sample screens.

Mine did have a page with info on it that it was QA'd in the US before being shipped out to the distributor. There was zero damage to the box/packaging. Nothing to suggest that it had experienced any rough treatment.

If all these units where on a pallet and the pallet got dropped then we have a problem..

Didn't these units ship then called back and then air shipped to make up time for the delay?

Wow, I guess that raises a question about the QC process, suggesting that they are not QC-ing all the units, or that their QC process is not very thorough. Or at a minimum, it suggests that this is perhaps more of a krap shoot than usual in terms of whether you get a good unit.

At those far distances, you probably won't need to upgrade your screen. You're honestly too far away to benefit from native 4K.

No, I collected it directly from JVC's UK distributor who receive their shipments directly from the factory via secured pallets and/or containers. So this did not incur damage via standard shipping, which is what was being suggested

Well there will be other aspects of the image that will look nice. The HDR tone mapping is a winner and it'll still be a nice and sharp image. If you ever want to modify your room and push forward ( a lot ), your projector will not be a limiting factor
