For a unit that is literally being beta tested and needing updates its a completely unreasonable approach to expect a heavy projector to be taken up down and shipped back and forth with more possibility of damage just for an update via usb a means implemented by JVC to improve the experience for the customer... not make it worse ? ive done updates prior... was able to do them with the special cable and al, but managed it on previous gen jvc. would expect to move forward not backwards with these new gen units...
anyone got a link to a video with jvc head announcing the improved for the customer with usb updates ? it was posted here on avs. love to send that to jvc au as perhaps a wake up call.
I dont think firmware updates are regional. If you want a firmware update, download it from jvc's website and install it. The file and instructions are available no matter where you're located. It sounds like the dealer is just working off previous model line information.
