It's on a pallet but, they didn't put it top side up. lol Hope all is okay.

Depends on what you call real world. If doing HDR with manual iris fully open, then somewhere between 15k and 20k. If talking about SDR with iris partially closed, then 23k to 30k would be the range. If you have a 2.8 gain HP screen that allows you to close the iris down to -15, then 40k.

My 25' Monoprice Premium Certified HDMI cable is CL3 rated on the cable jacket. For some weird reason, Monoprice forgot to put on their website that these cables are CL3 rated for in wall use.

Thank You.

I'm taking my first look at it together with a friend at my dealers place. The dealer is also looking forward to seeing one of the first few NX9.
So with all information of the past weeks in mind and some test material we will see how it turns out.
At least there will be no UPS or DHL to spoil the fun on the last part of the journey.

Reading the experience of several and mine w.r.t NX7 order wait times, it seems that people who ordered with some of the largest JVC Projector dealers.

I think JVC when allocating projectors, allocated by volume, but also made sure that all major dealers with NX pre-orders (not just PJs, but total JVC volume) got some inventory. People who placed orders at large JVC, but low JVC project volume dealers were #1 or #2 on the pre-order list and quickly got their orders fulfilled.

People who ordered at the largest volume JVC projector dealers, were way down in the list and are not having the deal with the delays in second, third, fourth batch of deliveries from JVC.

Having said that, I must say, I am not sure how was / is the after sales support from the lower volume dealers.

I certainly thought that by ordering from a high volume dealer that I would see mine fairly quickly, despite having pre-ordered in early November, putting me a ways down the list.

But I have seen people who ordered in late November, December and even January from other dealers in the U.S. post that they already have their NX7/RS2000's.

But it makes sense from the standpoint that a smaller dealer might have only gotten 5 pre-orders for this projector and a larger maybe 80. JVC could have sent 15-20 at a time to the larger dealer in the first couple shipments and maybe 1 or 2 to the smaller dealer. Then over the next few months, each shipment by slow boat gets mostly allocated to the larger dealer, but it only takes a couple shipments of 1 or 2 before the smaller dealer has filled their pre-orders, while people at the end of the line for the larger dealer waited longer.

I just got billed today and it should ship today or tomorrow, so I'm happy about that, but yeah, 5+ months was a long and frustrating wait. It was even more frustrating when people who ordered long after me got their units before I did... I speculated early on that it would be well into April, May, or even June before pre-orders were filled and stock was available on the shelf, but I never thought I was so far down the line to be waiting until April. I think the dealers fully expected to see larger quantities come in in the first couple shipments, and if not, then certainly in the third and fourth shipments. I don't think anyone was anticipating waiting until the 6th or 7th shipment by slow boat before getting their pre-order...

It sounds ridiculous but in a week it will be 7 months since i have made my order on the rs3000. My dealer is supposed to be one of the biggest in Germany.

Yeah I ordered in October. Still no firm ship date for me yet.

I feel really bad for dealers who don't have the connections to get shipments early or in large quantities. It's unfortunate for their customers that the wait is excessively long and it puts customer retention at risk the longer the wait drags on.

Can you report the build date on that unit. Would be good to know and may help us compile data as to whether newer built units ie March still potentially have issues from the factory or are possibly free of them finally.

Yep aware of that just prior to posting here and noted it on Arrow's thread as well. That was the reason for posting here as well as it occurred to me it would be a good idea to start collating performance data based on build date to see if we can find some correlation to what was said to me by JVC about production issues.

I just checked and for this year, I see January, February and March build dates. For last year, saw three or four October and the rest were December.

Yes it can be used in wall, but if you are building a room, put conduit in your wall, its easy to do and one day you may need it....I have not tested these cables, Chad B said to get the Ruipro, so that was good enough for me....

For now, I’m going to take Mike’s word for it since he have spoken with the JVC chaps and the latter informed merely minor fixes (whatever that means).
I was one of those members saying my yellowing problem was fixed but I wasn't sure if it was 2.04 or just the new RS3000 as it was a replacement. Unfortunately I also changed my madVR setup with a different graphics card so there are probably too many changes to say what actually fixed it. I can say it's not placebo though, it's super obvious when it happens.

Yesterday I once again had the issue on my N7 with the DI sometimes closing down way to low in dark scenes. All material, all modes. This seem to happen when PJ is just started. Something triggers this.

To get things back to normal it seems I have to turn off the PJ and pull the plug. Normal restart does not reset the DI.

I am experimenting with the order I turn things on. This happened only three times in 300 hours so no big deal. Anyone else experienced this?

There was a problem described a few months ago on the previous models where the projector would "forget" the iris position on shutdown if you made a change to the iris setting after the shutdown process had started. This could happen by itself if, for example, you were watching an HDR UHD and it reverted to the SDR disk menu during the shutdown. When the projector was booted up again it would think the iris was in a different position than it actually was and the entire image would be too bright or too dark.

I don't recall this being described on the new units, but perhaps it's a related issue.
Drem and Jue Liang like this.

What did JVC say about production issues? As far as everyone knows there has been no production issues other than the initial delay. There should be no difference between March builds and December builds except firmware.
