Yes, same thing I thought until I found one for approx. 60 percent off MSRP. However, my Spousal Unit, doesn’t know about that part, unless she ask me.

She doesn't know you bought the lens or she doesn't know you found it for 60% off?? LOL either way. Sounds like a good story and a better story once she figures out out.

Sounds like me and my search for a Lumagen. Kinda hard to hide a four-figure purchase. I may have to sell my Oppo and spare anamorphic lens so the sting won't be so bad.

Actually it's more like "have to ask for permission" since our income ratio is like 5:1 in her favor. She keeps my champagne dreams under a manageable beer budget or I would drive us both into the poor house. BUT.....As long as I have the cash I can do whatever I want.

No. Faulty hardware won’t cause that. Netflix has tons of different streams and qualities based on tons of different factors. Could also be device settings of some sort. Nothing defective.

No and it definitely is not a defective projector.

It is most likely from a problem in the Netflix app in the Panny.
I would see that problem all the time when I watched Netflix on my Panny 820. Just one of the many reasons why I stopped using the Panasonic for Netflix. I would actually get an Amazon logo across the screen sometimes. Very weird.

After seeing the review of the RS3000 in the June issue of Sound & Vision I mentioned to my wife how impressive the reviewers were of the RS3000. I told her what it cost and she said, why don't I get one to upgrade my RS1, so I did. What a difference 12 years makes. I couldn't believe what I'd been missing. I have the RS3000 married to a Denon AVR-X7200WA and Panasonic UB820. I couldn't be happier, and my wife loves it too.

You jumped forward about 11 generations of JVC projectors. I'll bet you see a big improvement! Nicely done.

Killroy,

I am retired as of 2008 and I got to retire because my wife (Cathy's) income far-far-far exceeded mine when I actually retired per her wishes.
It's sorta interesting how things sometimes change as the years go by for us that stay married for many-many years.
In my case plus-35-years.

I can so easily relate to your situation and what you have said in the above ^^^ post.
If I was not married to whom I am there more than likely would not be a dedicated H/T, period.
And taking that ^^^ to the next Major-Step-Up as in Huge Changes/Up-Grades I post on my dedicated thread those certainly would Never-Ever have or would take place.
My actual Net retirement income would in No-Way cover the Changes/Up-Grades !!!

And here is the Rest-of-the-Story .............
I was the one for years that far-far exceeded my Wife's income.
When I was the Major income partner Cathy got her CPA, as well as her Master Degree.
We lived on what our combined incomes were but good thing I was smart enough to be the one Busting his Butt for those years she was doing the above ^^^.
It ended-up that I got to Retire, have a totally "Awesome" Dedicated H/T and all really due to the wife (Cathy).

We have almost the same story. I helped put my wife through school where she earned a double Masters in health care management and administration. Her career took off and she told me to go ahead and retire and enjoy the fruits of our long labor. My pension is peanuts (but aren't most government pensions?). I learned quickly that I sucked at the financial aspect so I deferred to her superior financial and fiduciary skills. Now we have a beautiful semi-modest home that is almost paid off and I built a great HT that I pretty much always dreamed off.

We went the other way. My wife was a teacher. One year after we were married, we had our first child. My wife stopped teaching and became a stay at home mother.
