I must admit I was shocked when I saw the Interstellar image from the SONY 295/270es posted by Arrow as even my Sony HW45 and Epson looked a million times better than that one.
With an HW45, that interstellar scene is very gray. You need to see it side by side with a much better projector.

I completely disagree that it's very gray and certainly not the milky gray we see here.

Why? His numbers have been shown to off the mark on other units by numerous calibrators and reviewers. The measurements from Arrow-AV by contrast do seem to lineup with the findings by others.

I'm not aware of that. Can you please provide these numerous cases?
On the other hand, there are other reviewers that report numbers similar to Ekki's. Besides, he reports his measurements as ranges (min-max) based on calibrating several devices, not based on a single sample as in Arrow's case - that's something one might consider, too.

Well his published numbers on the JVC NX lineup don't match any of the numbers seen from Kris Deering (Sound & Vision), Arrow-AV, or the numbers reported in the owners threads from independent calibrators. His numbers for the Sony are also better than any of the same sources have been able to measure.
