Used PJ

Looking to buy a used PJ for 2-3k. Can someone send me in the right direction? Been out of it for years. Maybe an existing thread or some suggestions. Thanks.

Hi,

With that budget you can get a pretty good used projector, but it’s risky if you can’t get a warranty.

What’s the projector for? Movies? Games? Sports?

Screen size and throw distance?

Black room or living room?

Thanks for responding. dedicated, light controlled theater mostly for movies, some sports. Now have a sony black pearl with a 107" screen. throw distance shouldn't be a problem. not worried about warranties.

The above are important questions that must be addressed before you start a serious search

Awww...don't start him down that road yet. The NX5 is a under-performer anyway and not worth it's buy-in cost...even used....compared to a good, low mileage JVC RS-540 or x790r.....both usually for sale used at under $3k.

The other day in the AVS Classified there was a Panny PT-AE8000u , new...never opened...for under $2K. That would be an excellent Bargain Basement find!

For that amount you might be able to get a B-stock JVC from AVS.
