Genuine question at this point, it's a weak contrast, no longer ultra short throw and ultra expensive projector.

They missed the boat on this one by a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiide margin.

The EU version of the EH-LS500 is available since October 2019 and is around 2500 bucks. It's pretty bright, very quiet and throw ratio is 0.28 – very similar to the Optoma P1 (0.25). The only real ultra short throw is the LG at 6000 bucks.

It also has the lowest input lag, 3d, highest lumens for it's price range and the screen is specifically made for it to overcome most of it's shortcomings. People who saw it in person said it looked good so that's all I care about. I already have a dedicated theater room, I just want a big screen for my living room and this is the only one that checks all the boxes. It doesn't look like it's ever coming out though.

Eh-ls500 arrived today.
Have a Draper Premier acoustic white screen.
Anyone have any settings for a non alr screen? Basically a white screen.
Focusing this in all 4 corners and centre is quite tricky. Any tips?
Thanks.

I gave up waiting and got a different laser tv. There's just no going back to 85 inches. Size matters

I went with the hisense 120l10e. I did it for a few reasons. One, I didn't want to put a screen together and try to match it with an ust projector. Two, it was one of the few with good lumens and low input lag. Turns out, they stopped shipping the screen together so I had to do it myself. It was a bigger pain than I thought. It's too expensive for what it is, but people say it looks better than the lg cinebeam and apart from blacks it's really good. If you're looking for a theater tv this probably isn't it. Overall I'm still glad I bought it, but it really should cost less. I haven't measured the input lag, but I'm killing it in fps. I play much better now than I did on my Sony xbr940e.
