All in all, got yourself a pretty sweet deal. I was always impressed by this unit. Between that and my 32” Trinitron (tube), they were my first introductions to quality image and calibration.

Enjoy!
Yeah, I had a VW50 to start with and that was a great introduction.
The 60 is the unit I hankered after once it arrived but I stuck with my 50 until around 2012 when I got a VW90ES.
I am now on a VW760ES and loving it but I had the chance to buy this high usage 60 at a stupid low price and just bought it as it was essentially chump change.
I was just going to use it as mainly a learning experience. However it turns out that it throws (even now) and image that is better than a lot of modern 1080 projectors.
So I am using it as a backup and just to marvel at how good it looks even now.

Hi.
The more I play, the more I am impressed by this thing. I can see no indication of any panel degradation whatsoever.
I have a new bulb in it now and it is even better!

Some examples (none of the images were paused and all from a PVR recorded from broadcast TV):

Edited to add that it looks even better to the eye!

The theory about high usage on SXRD projectors protecting against degradation certainly holds up on this unit.
