With all the broadcasters changing frequencies next week, rather than buying new jointennas and storing the old ones, we should just swap the ones we have with another member in need.

I'll start. I have a channel 24 that I won't need and luckily won't need a replacement, so whoever needs it -- wanting it isn't enough -- and is willing to pay for shipping can have it.

Piggie 06-03-2009 08:25 PM

I am looking for one on RF Channel 9

I don't own one now.

makabe 06-12-2009 10:33 AM

I've got a channel 18 I don't need any more. It's yours for the shipping cost.

makabe 06-12-2009 11:04 AM

Amazon.com has jointennas for 5.99 + shipping ($4.50 in my case)--a lot less than the $30 I paid to Warren electronics for my channel 18 model. Also, they seem to be in stock and shipping with little delay.

fmw63 06-12-2009 11:58 AM

Anybody have a Channel 30?

k_ross 06-12-2009 01:34 PM

I ordered a single channel 13 from the ChannelMaster store, and they sent me a box of 6! So I have 5 extra. Anyone need channel 13?

makabe 06-13-2009 04:15 PM

I need a 13, and I'm in Seattle. Please contact me via the private messages.

Mark

sggoodri 06-13-2009 06:49 PM

I'm interested in a 25 in Cary, NC.

willscary 06-14-2009 05:58 AM

I have none to donate (sadly...I am using 3 at this moment!) but I could use a channel 16 Jointenna.

Bill

willscary 06-21-2009 08:16 AM

Forget the channel 16 jointenna for me...I ordered one.

Anyone have one for channel 46? I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to be able to use it yet, just testing the water here.

willscary 06-21-2009 09:01 AM

Bummer, Trip.

I have been told that Jointenna discontinued channels 30-49. Good luck!

Then again, these are tunable, and with your background and equipment availability, perhaps you could purchase a channel 49 from Warren electronics and tune it yourself. Just a thought, as channels 30-49 must use the same unit and then are tuned to the desired frequency.

Bill

AntAltMike 06-21-2009 09:16 AM

The UHF Jointenna tuning is primitive: one slug for the bandpass and one slug for the band reject. They are easy to tune with the proper equipment (which I have), but difficult to impossible without it.

Trip in VA 06-21-2009 10:46 AM

Yuck. That's problematic.

I might be coming into an 80 foot tower, in which case I would be considering a dedicated channel 46 yagi to combine in and hope that it gets me PBS from Charlottesville. Whether or not I'm getting the tower is still up in the air (ha ha) but even if I do, I'd want to test it before going out and buying all the equipment for it.

AntAltMike 06-21-2009 11:57 AM

Tin Lee sells somethng like the Jointenna, only shielded and better constructed. I think it sells for a little over $100.

willscary 06-21-2009 01:03 PM

My Jointennas have worked exactly as described. I have no complaints. Luckily, The stations that I have inserted with the Jointennas do not have another desireable station within 3 channels either way. I use a channel 31 Jointenna with no ill effects on channel 27 or on 36, but there is a TBN channel that is identical to channel 36 on channel 30. That channel was obliterated by the Jointenna.

If I could scrounge up a 30-49, could you retune it for me? I'm only 10 minutes away.

Scooper 06-24-2009 07:53 PM

I could use a channel 36, I've got a channel 24 that I'm willing to let go.

kycubsfan 06-25-2009 07:16 AM

Just received a Jointenna from the Amazon source. It appears to be from some old stock, which is agreeable to me as I have more faith in the vintage gear.

kycubsfan 06-25-2009 06:30 PM

I am interested in a Channel 16 model.

gareth.lotson 06-30-2009 04:05 PM

I have an 18, will swap for 13.
I'm near Seattle WA.

lux mundi 07-01-2009 03:37 AM

I am looking for Channel 23. If anyone has one please contact me by private message.

I wonder, however, if I won't have problems as I already receive one channel on my main antenna on Ch. 25. I get an extremely small signal on Ch.25 but I'm afraid when I connect my other antenna that receives Ch. 23 that I'll block Ch. 25 also. I already have a jointenna for Ch. 48 that hasn't blocked channels 44 and 46 from my main antenna so I suspect this may work since my signals on my main antenna are strong (I am 8 miles from the Indianapolis tower farm).

Thanks

Just sent you a PM

I have a Channel 7 unit that I don't need. I'm looking for a Channel 35 unit.

shastada 07-24-2009 10:24 AM

Anyone happen to have a channel 10? I tried to order from amazon and they cancel my order Tried this twice and both times they cancel it without any notification. I'm guessing they don't have it in stock? Oh well... If anyone has a channel 10 they're willing to part with, send me a message. Thanks

coatseast 10-17-2009 07:03 AM

If anyone has one, I will buy it.

I do need it to pass 27. Does anyone know what attenuation this band stop filter will create on this adacent frequency? Fortunately, its a strong signal.

Thanks!!

Matt in Raleigh, NC

The FTC must have been asleep at the wheel when the assigned the TV channels in Raleigh after the DTV transition. Its nearly impossible with UHF, VHF and another UHF for PBS coming in from the 130 degrees from the other channels.

Scooper 10-17-2009 09:00 AM

First off - the FTC has nothing to do with TV frequency assignments - that's the FCC's job.

Second off - wait for a bit - WUNC has applied to put a channel 30 translator in the Garner antenna farm - aimed RIGHT AT RALEIGH. I don't know how much longer it will be before it is approved / working, but I know it has been applied for.

3rd - all things considered - you may not need a jointenna - just a simple combiner may work.

4th - You can thank WUNC for the mishmash of transmitter locations. I live almost exactly half way on the line between WUNC in Chapel Hill and WUNP in Roanoke Rapids, and I still have to get the Garner antenna farm as well. 1 CM4221 aimed at Garner, and a Radio Shack U75 aimed at Roanoke Rapids right now. And a VHF antenna for channel 11 / FM. Lately, I'm beginning to get a sniff of WUNC.

I've got two CH55 jointennas available... barely used. PM me if interested.

These might be useful for someone getting overloaded by a nearby Qualcomm transmitter.
