I inherited a dead no-name DVD Player a while back. I replaced the cheap chinese caps in Power-Supply (with good Nichicons) and got it working. Used it for a year-or-so in a secondary location. It worked fine and then I put it in storage for 2 years. Got it out the other day to use it.
It's dead again. I think some of these cheap electronics are just trash. Thinking of taking a hammer to it.
