TSReader source selection not being saved

Hi,

Installed TSReader 2.8.47.c under Windows 10 x64.

Have 2 Hauppauge HVR-1250 PCIe cards.

Selected source 'Hauppauge Generic ATSC'.

Program works as intended - I exit program - I re-enter program.

Need to select source again. Why is selected source not being saved?

Thanks!

Nick

I can only speak for myself, but I haven't said anything because I don't know. I have my installations set up to do that intentionally, and I don't use Windows 10.

I have a similar setup running under Win7x64 and haven't encountered the issue.

Generally speaking, if a program won't save settings, there's either a bug in the program, the installation didn't complete properly or the file/directory the information is stored in is corrupt. You can try a re-install but you may need to dig a bit to tear out all the remnants uninstall leaves behind or - if you can find the directory where the data is stored - delete the files therein. The program should recreate them. Emphasis on "should."

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

fwiw, I'm using TSR 2.8.55, Win10x64 (1903), just 1 HVR-1265 (uses same generic hauppauge ATSC source), and like Doc don't have that issue, didn't have it with earlier TSreader version either ...

However, I seem to vaguely recall having that issue many moons ago(probably back as far as XP days with a different card), don't remember how I fixed it, probably what doc said regarding re-install ..

Do note that when you open TSreader, if you hold down "Ctrl" when double-clicking on Tsreader Icon on desktop it will allow you to select the source first, before TSR runs ...
