OTA solution for MDU complex

I have searched for and called distributors looking for a good solution to supply OTA service to 50+ tenants in a new apartment complex. We are looking for a design/equipment that is known to work. What do you have experience with?

Hello, wnyprotech; welcome to the forum.

The best person to answer that question is forum member AntAltMike. He used to install systems like that for a living, but might be retired now.

Maybe he will see your question. If not, send a forum PM (Private Message) to him.

I sent a PM to AntAltMike; no answer yet.

To see if reliable OTA reception is possible at the apartment location, you should do an RF survey with a signal report from rabbitears.info:
https://www.rabbitears.info/searchmap.php

This is an example report for a location in Aurora, NY:

If the complex was located there, several antennas aimed in different directions would be needed. The single channel amplifiers in the headend are selected by RF channel, but the channels above 36 will be changing because of Repack by the FCC.

You will probably need a Blonder Tongue Authorized Distributor that can also do the system planning for you:

If you can not measure it, you can not improve it.
