I've had Charter (digital+Hd tier) now for about 1.5 years and use a cablecard. Tv is a Panasonic plasma 50" 50px50u. I also have cable internet 3MB.

Charter has a special promotion going on where if you have Cable internet and Cable tv, that you would save so much money by having both.

Well I called Charter and they said that since I had a cablecard, that I did'nt qualify for the deal. I needed one of thier set top boxes. I pay $3.00/mth for the cablecard. The STB would be $5.00/mth. (not 100% sure on prices but it's within' a few dollars)

I know what you're thinking...... Why not just dump the cablecard and get the box for $?.00 more per mth? I HATE stb's, period! I have no use for On demand/PPV stuff and feel they are forcing me to switch.

Is anyone here in the same predicament? I just can't see why cablecard is not included in the promotion.
