FS: BenQ Short-Throw Projector (1085st), excellent for gaming

EDIT: Sold

Hi -

I have a BenQ 1085st short-throw projector. Short throw means it can project a HUGE image from a short distance. In this case, a 160 inch image from as little as 8 feet. In full 1080p.

Unlike many other short-throws, the 1085st has adjustable zoom. Using it doesn't seem to alter image quality to my eyes. I don't notice any rainbow effect which I can see easily with other DLPs. Even when watching black & white movies.

BenQ shipped many of these with dead pixels. I kept on sending it back until I got one with NO dead pixels. So there are ZERO dead pixels.

I used it with an Xbox and a PS4 Pro. I play mostly shooters, and noticed no input lag during Call Of Duty, Battlefield, or any other shooter. Independent reviewers also measured low input lag. Having a giant image makes sniping with iron sights far easier.

Very bright picture. Great image quality even when projecting on a normal white wall. In fact, the image quality was so good I never bothered to buy a projection screen. And that was using "Eco" mode brightness!

The lamp doesn't have that many hours on it. I used "Eco" mode exclusively because it was plenty bright. It is 3D capable, though I never used that feature.

I'm selling because I moved to a furnished apartment with a TV. There is no blank wall for me to aim the projector at and I don't want to buy a free standing screen. Otherwise I would keep it in a heartbeat.

The successor model - the 2150st - is still 1080p and $758 on Amazon.

I will sell this for $450 shipped in the US, or plus shipping if you are outside of the US. Or best offer (OBO).

Also open to trading for a good subwoofer.

EDIT: Price lowered to $250 shipped!!!

EDIT: Sold

I'm interested. Do you have any timestamped photos by any chance? I'd just like to see the condition of it and everything.
