Hi!

Is there any way to add support for HD DVD and Blu-ray menu navigation to the MPC (Media Player Classic)?

I would really appreciate any help.

"Media Player Classic Home Cinema" will play the main title of a Bluray when you open "DVD".

It will not do that for a HD-DVD, and you cannot get menus for Blurays (good think IMO - just play it and then pick the best audio through the filters menu).

If you want more, ask on Doom9, maybe they will add it.

I actually meant MPC-HC (forgot to mention it). So the answer is, that it is currently simply not possible. Sometimes the menu would be quite helpful, if not essential (take the "Digital Video Essentials HD" test and calibration disk as an example).

I heart something about the "HD Navigation Filter" (or so) from PowerDVD. Would it maybe be possible, to use this with MPC-HC?

Best regards,
Daniel

the menu's don't work yet because they require JAVA.
At the moment MPC-HC cannot connect with anything java-related.

It will take quite amount of coding to fix this. If anyone want's to help out by coding it it would be greatly appreciated

Are there other lightweight players that support menu navigation? I don't really want to install the full blown PowerDVD just for my "Digital Video Essentials HD" disk.
