I did discover something pretty cool regarding my iPhone and the HDHR tuners. There's an app called Channels from the app store that allows you to stream live video from the tuners to your phone via your wi-fi. It's not something I would use on a regular basis, but if you're in the can and getting bored it's something to pass the time.
Yeah for DVR I wouldn't want to use it, but I am using windows 10 machines so no more WMC, I only use the Shield or Roku TV's to playback live tv, just testing it to throw something on when I was at my desk.

There is also an HDHR app for the iphone, I tried it works really well.

How's JRMC these days? Haven't really looked into it in years.

Thanks.

I've been using it mostly for Blu-Ray rips and TV shows archived in mkv format and it works quite well. I have issues with audio sync if I try to use it for 4k playback so I've been using MPC-HC and MadVR for that.

For some strange reason WMC on my primary HTPC won't allow me to configure media libraries anymore. I'll set up the various libraries and they show up fine, but when I try to open up any folders containing episodes of TV shows they're all empty. I don't have this problem with any of my other HTPCs so it's a bit of a head scratcher. They're all still running Windows 7.

I am still pondering what to do here. I really need to know what the cci Copy Protected Channels are for my area to see if it is worth it.

My bet is premium only. But hard to know for sure.

I'm removing my HDHomeRun from my home theater. Is there anything I need to do to remove any personal information from it, or can I just unplug? I was running Channels to handle DVR duties.

I've never heard of them storing any info on them. Pretty sure once you remove the M-Card its a blank slate.

Thanks. It's OTA only, so there's no card to remove. I'm good to go.

You have your Prime on OTA?

The tuner itself doesn't store information but if you used it with a HDHomeRun DVR subscription the tuner device ID will be registered to your account at Silicondust.

Sorry, not a Prime. Wrong thread. It's an HDHomeRun Connect Quatro.

My DVR subscription was through Channels.

I was just teasing you.

I have no idea if Channels DVR records your device info or not. Probably not.

Yes this thread has been dead for a long time. It seems that most of the folks using primes have been for a long time. Or some like me have come back to them after selling off their hardware previously.

No issues on my end. I did have a problem I solved yesterday though, in Plex Live TV it was letterboxing the display. I found a setting in PMS that was automatically transcoding all live TV, changed it to Original Quality and it's fixed.

I do have an issue that I believe is HDHR View related on my Shields - if I try to watch live TV on HDHR View or Live Channels, I have no sound. But, luckily Plex is working.

I am also having a problem with the View app on Shield. It started last night on my upstairs Shield; it was working fine on my living room when. I just got messages from the wife that now it's doing it in the living room too.

Something's borked, and it appears to only be the View App on Shield (my Prime's are still working; the Plex DVR app and the Google Live Channels app are working, and the View app on my Android Phone is working, etc). My Shields are set to Channel 2 (4:3 standard def), and I can't change the channel on them, and I can't get back to the main DVR menu; one level back and the App goes all the way back to the ATV home screen...

EDIT/UPDATE: It's a thing. Silicon Dust is aware of it and rolling out a fix.
