I tried a few lines. It does not support DiSEqC. Only the 1st port is working.

Sometime back I switched to using a TBS6983 and DVBViewer Pro so I am rusty on the Prof-7301. I requested Prof to write a source BDA .dll that could be used with TSReader but they never responded. Never used a DiSEqC switch or DVBViewer Lite, always had the paid version.

You need to use the generic TSReader_DVBSBDASource.dll with the Prof-7301. This is a generic DVB-S BDA source .dll so not sure what the limitations are in conjunction with DVBViewer Lite.

More info on BDA (Broadcast Driver Architecture) here.

Sorry I could not help more.

Below is a sample batch file (EndeavourMorse.BAT) that was called by Windows Task Scheduler to do a recording from AMC-21 (PBS) at a specified time via Prof 7301 and TSReader. Note: the REM (Remark) lines are not necessary and will be ignored by the batch processor, I put them for easy reference.

Thank you response and your effort.

In your light of this assessment; the easy way to turn the problem, I will get TBS6983.

For TBS6983; "First my message" in list, must I choose ? In the list; TBS6983 not seem choice !

Best regards.

As noted I used the Prof 7301 and TSReader for recording for a period of time. The TBS6983 was obtained because it was the only card that would work with some UHD/4K test feeds form Amazonas 3 and the 6983 is PCIe so should be more future proof. Did not get a chance to try it out before the test feeds were removed.

TSReader_BDASource_TBS6983A.dll and TSReader_BDASource_TBS6983B.dll are here, look under TSReaderSources, click the + to download the .ZIP file. There are two .dll’s because the 6983 has two tuners.

From the TBS site: TBS6903 Professional DVB-S2 Dual Tuner PCIe Card EUMETCast Compatibility (TBS6983 is replaced by TBS6903)

One would assume the .dll files for the 6983 would work for the 6903.

Just tried the TSReader_DVBSBDASource.dll (generic) with TSReader and the TBS6983 and it worked fine. However, in the General Information area it did not show the Locked Quality % / Signal % nor the Symbol Rate. These do show when using the TBS .dll's
