I believe the hauppage wmc drivers say they only support one tuner? Check the documentation, I think it says so in the readme file.

WMC should recognize both tuners if that's a dual tuner card. If only one shows up when you run the TV signal setup, select the option to manually select the tuners instead of accepting the configuration that WMC gives you. All of your tuners should show up in the list of available tuners. I believe you have three options to choose from for the type of tuner - analog OTA, digital OTA (ATSC) or digital cable (cablecard). All tuners for the type you selected should be listed. Just scroll through the list and check each tuner you want to include. WMC will then be configured with the tuners you selected.

Do you have any other tuners set up in WMC? I believe there's a 4 tuner per type limit. If you already have three ATSC tuners set up then WMC will only allow you to add one more ATSC tuner. If that's what's happening you can increase the tuner limit with TunerSalad. They used to charge you for it but they made it freeware a couple of years ago.

I run a Ceton 6 Pcie board and WMC sees all 6. Does my machine not know there is a 4 tuner limit (ha ha)?

The Ceton software removes the 4 tuner limit.

That makes sense! So this limit should also not come in to play when I dump the WMC EPG and install the EPG123?

Thanks much, Ken. Always appreciate your wisdom. I gather you are using EPG123 happily?

Thank you, Ken. I gather they remind you once a year to re-up for the $25 fee or does one have to remember to do that?

Also, am I right to get started it is best to join SD at schedulesdirect.org (on any computer) before beginning the set up phase on the HTPC just to make cure membership goes through, credit card accepted, etc.?

You need a Schedules Direct account user name and password before you set up EPG123. SD will let you do a free 7 day trial if you want to make sure it's going to work before paying for a full year. They also have two month plan but I don't know who would want that.

I hate to keep hijacking this thread. It might be a good idea to start a new thread if you have any more EPG123 or Schedules Direct questions.

You are right, but I guess I was the first hijacker when I got off topic. Apologies to all.
