Tv avi mp4 software vs pc

I bought LG B9. Before this i was using my pc as a media player because it could output 5.1 audio. But lg webos default media player can play many video formats as i have seen also 4k and hdr and i don't see any slow downs. Pc needs 500watt to work, but as i have seen Lg video player does the same job. Is there any reason to use pc player? Btw, i use potplayer in pc and gtx 1080. Is there any setting that will make using my 500 watt pc, or just go on using lg webos avi player.

Yea you can be using madVR and getting some incredible video processing and upscaling. Nothing in your TV comes close.
