I only have an LCD but I still prefer madvr's DTM a little better than just passthrough. I'll do some more playing today and post my settings.

EDIT## Is there some recommended source material/scenes/demos that are good for changing DTM settings on the fly. I do not have the popular UHD calibration disc that many folks use.
here are some scenes that were used in a madVR/Panasonic/Oppo shootout

Do you happen to know the thread where that shootout took place?

Interesting. I personally never liked any of the custom gamma curves for HDR when I tried them myself. I much prefer DTM with madVR as I need all the nits I can get - I have the 5040 and 150" 16:9 1.1 gain and see about 80 nits on screen in medium lamp (don't like to use high because of the noise).

Could you expound a bit as to how much better you feel your setup is for HDR now vs the best you got out of the more typical madVR setup for HDR you'd used in the past?

Do you have your favorite setting posted? I'd like to give it a try to compare.

With my current setup, we feel we get more pop by leaving HDR enabled. Good chance I'm doing something wrong, but when I've input other Epson users settings we keep going back to what I posted.
